Great production minus the balloon duress

by 13lemondrop on 2011-08-21Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

My almost three year old loved the performance. I was also happy to not be bored to death. My one and only complaint is basically forcing people to purchase the $10.00 balloons. How can you say no to child when they walk hundreds of Elmo balloons down the aisle and there are tons of kids chasing after them? I would have bought one anyway, but in this economy people work hard enough to just get to the event. I thought that was a bit below the belt.

Good show but needs some improvements

    by Kiki1982 on 2011-08-14Rexall Place - Edmonton

My son enjoyed the show but as a parent there were some difficult times throughout the show. First, I understand that the children could not get up and dance on the floor since the characters could be walking around and in their costumes they had limited visibility. However at the same time as a parent of an excited toddler you have to understand how difficult it was to have them sit the entire time. The other thing was the balloons during intermission. They were awesome balloons and my son loved his. However to give them out during the show and then ask the parents to have them out of the view of others so not to block their view was another difficult situation given their children's excitement. It was still a great show but some small improvements would make the show that much better!

by carolinaS on 2011-08-10Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Calgary

MY kids loved the show and we did too!, I love all the Sesame Street Caracters and my kids too!, you could get up and dance and it was good for kids to hear things like, you need to have enough sleep, eat healthy and excercise, I would go see them and take my kids if they come to Calgary again. Thanks! Carolina S,

    Kids had so much fun

by DWSR on 2011-08-10Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - Vancouver

It was a very nice show and very well produced, the kids had an unforgettable evening but I have to say that the venue was quite disappointing compared to the quality of production and the high price we paid ... The event staff kept shuing the kids away to their seats .. Something that didn't happen in yo gabba gabba event which was excellent, cheaper price, better venue and beautiful production .. And I balme it on the venue again ..

    My son loved it!

by modancermo on 2011-08-09Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - Vancouver

My son was 2 and a bit when we went...he was so fascinated by seeing all his favourites live. We were on the floor and the characters would come up and say hi. He was a little scared of Honker. Highly recommended!

    Sesame street bonanza

by Alwaysadisneyfan on 2011-08-08Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - Vancouver

The show was wonderful our seats were amazing (thank you) and my daughter loved all the characters and the show. The only disappointment was the money spent for the meet and greet. Itmade it seem like you would meet the main characters but all we got to see was (sorry no offense) Ernie and Bert. She also really wanted to see Elmo, Zoe and Big Bird. But the show was great!

i thought this event was great! it's always helpful as parents to have a few extra tricks up our sleeves to get kids to wash, rest, and eat well. the only thing that i thought was ironic was the fact that the stadium was selling cotton candy and snow cones at 10.30am. the snacks definitely were not in line with the performance :(

Good Show, but no VISA or INTERAC?!

by OscarLover on 2011-08-08Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Sports Centre - Vancouver

My family really enjoyed the show, but it would have been better if I had had some cash with me....couldn't buy a program, food or any of the other fun stuff they were selling because not one vendor there took Interac or Visa and there was no cash machine. Oh well, probably saved myself $50!
