The work was amazing, a combination of middle east music and western music. Nothing could have attached these two together as Rumi poem did. Fantastic job.

It was certainly great to hear Nazeri sing live after 12 years again. He is the undisputed master of classical persian music, and his voice is mesmerizing. The only disappointment I had in the program was the extent of involvement of his son, and his influence. You could sense the sometimes out-of-place harmony of instruments. He sang a classic "fire in Neyestan" in a completely new and unfamiliar way, which did not sound heart-warming (my simpleton measure of how good music is). There were times when I felt that the violin was intruding rather than contributing to the harmony of sounds. Overall, I got a much higher high 12 years ago than this year, but love love love nazeri so much that would go despite all these changes.

Master Shahram Nazeri is without doubt one of the most talented and amazing icons of the persian traditional art. The show was phenomenal, every and each of the performers were absolutely gifted. Thanks for this spectacular experience, once in a life time for sure.

shahram nazeri is one of the best traditional singer that has too much respect for persian, there was a sound problem that night which is unbelievable for us that how would be happens,,,and the second thing is that the people still enter between the tracks,,and the third thing is drinking and eating was allow in salon that's so weird!

The concert started as a colourful classical Persian/Sufi music. However, as the it continued it turned out to become a sort of not so Eastern and not quite Western presentation. I could neither enjoy the authentic old culture in the tunes, nor was I excited about recognising a true and familiar Western melody, which of course I did not expect or wish to hear. Then may be, it was the delivering intention. A young man struggling to break away from his ancient past and an older man persisting upon retaining his older culture. In all, while there were many amazing moments of beautiful and exciting instrumentation and high pitched singings, as one who appreciates and understands both Persian and Western classical music, I could not understand or fully enjoy the entire work.

Shahram Nazeri is an Iranian Icon, and is one of the very few Persian musicians I enjoy listening to. He has extraordinary singing abilities: very melodic, powerful dynamics, free from strict traditional conventions, with a twist of psychedelia. An uplifting trip!
