    Awesome!

by KSong on 2014-04-15Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Sharon brought down the house - as usual. It was great to see her and in such a great venue. It was especially great considering she has come back to strong after having beat cancer. It's hard to believe that she is almost 60! and she could probably out dance all of us in the house!

Excellent show, even with Sharon being sick. The songs were mostly from her new album (Give the People What They Want) and the variations of the album songs and free jams were very amusing.

    So much FUN!

by Ereeka on 2014-04-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings were amazing! Sharon had so much energy, engaged with the audience and gave it 100% the whole way through! I didn't want it to end! Her back-up singers Sun and Star were fantastic and I cannot say enough about the Dap Kings! If I could give it 6 stars, I would!

Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings do NOT disappoint!!

by MargoH on 2014-04-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

If I could watch Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings over and over again, I would be the happiest person around. Never have I danced in my chair so much, clapped so hard, and whooped and hollered as much as I did that night. After the concert was done, as tired as she was, she came out back and signed autographs and posed for pictures. I wish I could relive that night. If you can....GO!

    Seniors Rule

by gypsysmom on 2014-04-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Sharon Jones provided a high energy set of soul masterpieces which is even more impressive considering that a year ago she was battling cancer. It was almost impossible to stay still in your seats when she sang. The Dap Kings are a solid backing to her vocals. My enjoyment of the concert was marred by the extreme narrowness of the seating. I'm not a tall person but my knees were jammed against the seat in front of me and, in time, the pressure caused extreme pain.

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings are awesome

by DrDave52 on 2014-04-11Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

What a performer! Just great to see someone who knows where she is playing, is so happy to be here and has the goal of providing top-notch entertainment. Her recent health scare has helped her put things into perspective, as she said, she is just happy to be alive and able to sing for us. Even her allergies couldn't hold her back. What great energy she has, for someone almost as old as me. Great band, so tight, got the whole place up dancing and singing. All of the musicians and singers were dead on, no long extended solos, just 8 musicians and 2 singers playing together.

Sharon Jones is an inspiration and rare treasure!

by TheGooch on 2014-04-09Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

People have often referred to the great entertainers as the 'hardest working'. Well, there is no active touring professional, that puts more work, energy and soul into a performance than Sharron Jones. She gets as much energy as she gives from her audience, but even while battling cancer, she is committed to connecting with her audience and gives it her all. Her voice sounded great and even with failing health has more energy than anyone a third her age. Jones a treasure. The Dap Kings sounded great as well and make the perfect accompaniment. Whether you know of her or not, if you love music of any kind, Sharron Jones is not to be missed...
