Shen Yun Tickets

While the dancing was nice, I had expected a show that flowed and not the little segments of dance and stories. There was a major religious element as well that we were not aware would happen. Overall not very happy given the hype and ticket prices.

New York based performance not from China. Was expecting more for the price of more than $150 a ticket. First and last Shen Yun performance for me.

We thought it was going to be like cirque du soleil with acrobatics and stuff. Instead it was just veiled propaganda with some dancing. The whole thing had a weird religious theme to it, and cult-like.

This is the first show I have seen where an animated backdrop extends the stage. The background scenes where amazing, very colorful and realistic. The stage presentation was incredible, the costumes designs and costume colors where unbelievable. The orchestra which was a blend of Chinese and Western instruments was excellent. The two presenters did a very good job of introducing each segment of the program. I am glad I attended the Shen Yun show and I am pleased to see that ancient Chinese culture is being brought back for the world to see.

The singing, dancing and costumes were outstanding. The visuals added another good dimension to the show. Really enjoyed this performance. This was the first time seeing Shen Yun, I would recommend and will be attending future shows.

It’s definitely a nice show to see, but I was expecting a lot more. They do a very good job at marketing their show, and I strongly believe that this show is highly over rated. What you see as advertised is not quite what the whole show is about. I have seen other dance shows, including ballet, that were much more worth while to see and enjoy. Glad I saw it but will not go back, especially for the price paid.

I expected it to be good but it was way better than I expected. I’ll likely go every year now.

The performance was so good however the seats well could use a bit improvement, if there is a large person in front of you cant see at all or just parts of the stage. it would be better if seating was like the movie theatre seating. other than that it was good and great

It was an ok show. I was given the tickets and don’t believe I would have spent my own $ to see it. The costumes and dancers were good but no different then any other dance performance I have seen. The narrator’s were a bit annoying to come out after each set and talk.
