About

Skillet’s aggressive, distortion-heavy Christian rock has earned the band a legion of young fans who identify with their edgy, modern take on faith-based music. With their eighth studio album Rise in 2013, the band delivered a strong collection of anthemic songs carrying messages of resilience and hope, earning a No. 1 spot on the Billboard Rock Albums and Christian Albums charts. Critics praised the record for its craftsmanship and the near-symphonic proportions of singles like “Sick of It” and “Not Gonna Die,” noting that the band had grown and evolved without losing their signature sound. Formed in 1996, Skillet is fronted by husband and wife duo John and Korey Cooper. In addition to numerous GMA Dove nominations, the band has also received two Grammy nominations for their albums Collide (2005) and Comatose (2007). On the road in 2013, the band has been treating ticket buyers to their visually stunning live show while building anticipation for their headlining spot on the The Roadshow 2014 tour.

    Better than I was expecting

by Kiltboy on 2020-02-20Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

It wasn't until 3 days before the concert I found out that Skillet is a Christian rock band. Walking in I saw a lot of children and thought "What the hell have I got myself into." Ashes was a good opening act. Skillet was a high energy act and not to "preachy". Only real disappointment was the ran out of xlarge concert t-shirts.

We love Skillet! They are a class act. It can get a little crazy in the pit. Other than that, a fantastic evening with one of our favorite bands.

Loved every minute of it. It was entertaining. My whole family attended with one of our friends family. It was great to see my son and his friend jumping around singing the lyrics.

    Great Concert

by Jay on 2020-02-18Abbotsford Centre - Abbotsford

This was one of the best value concerts I had ever attended. Skillet killed it, Ashes to New was amazing, and of course Ledger was AMAZING Love that it was an all ages show, and got to experience it all with my family Interesting idea of an General Admission venue with no specific seats; but it was a small enough space that it worked

Best Skillet Set I've been to

by Rubitex on 2017-09-15Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Skillet was amazing. They did a great job sang most of all there hit songs and with passion. The Burton Cummings is a great place for this size of concert and the viewing. Remember bring ear plugs if you don't like loud music. (not sure why that has to be played so loud) Definitely go if you have a chance.
