Went for Loomis but really enjoyed Soilwork!

by gtrman on 2013-03-23The Opera House - Toronto

First of all, love the changes at the Opera House. Always loves the space for sound purposes but opening it up for more comfort was a good ideas. Being a guitar player I went to watch Jeff Loomis's fingers bleed but have to say was really impressed by Soilwork's music and performance. Very engaging! Have now seen Black Guard for the fourth time and can see the growth in their music and performance as well. Keep it up guys!!

    too quiet

by Itwassolid on 2013-03-23The Opera House - Toronto

quietest metal show I've ever been too. Such an amazing band playing at like 60% volume made it complete garbage.

Soilwork VIP, There Will Never Be Anything Like It

by SoilworkRampage on 2010-08-18The Music Hall - LONDON

I was 1 of the 4 people who spent the money on a VIP ticket with my best friend, unfortunately another friend which we bought insurance for got called into work and couldn't make it. These guys may not be known by the faces as Bjorn had proved by walking through the crowd all night without anyone bothering him, but their music is unreal. You get lost in it, and seeing them live while standing against the stage and getting fist pounds from Bjorn himself is the single greatest experience of my life thus far. The bands who played before Soilwork were just as good as the guys from Soilwork, Everyone played their hearts out and the guys from Anubis Unbound were so humble to recieve any kind of thank you for playing. We took the time to talk with as many of the bands as we could and even the local bands like Heaven of Blades rocked the whole place. If there weren't a patio on the roof it would have been blown off. If Soilwork does not come back to London, or make a stop in my hometown of Sarnia on their next tour, I will be very disappointed, it was a once in a lifetime experience and the only way it will be topped is with another VIP experience with Soilwork.

    Finally saw Soilwork!

by SilentFirefly on 2010-07-20The Opera House - Toronto

I finally got to see Soilwork after following them shortly after the release of Natural Born Chaos. I've since obtained all 8 of their albums and they are by far my favorite band. They completely lived up to the hype! There's only one thing I can say... amazing! Death Angel isn't really a syle I enjoy. I really liked Mutiny Within, kind of reminds me of Killswitch Engage but the singer is better in my opinion. Swashbuckle was halarious, but not very good musically. I'm not sure who opened the show (If it was Augury or someone else) but they were actually pretty good for an opening band.
