It was great would see it again. The orchestra and conductor was amazing.
Bravo! Bravo! Bravo! The evening was a wonderful evening of reminesing a great TV show and movies with fantastic live symphony music. Thanks for a fantastic evening. I'd love to see it all over again.
Great concert, very well done. Too bad about the choice of venue. Tall guys like myself just do not fit into the seats. On the other hand the view & sound was perfect.
An absolutely amazing show from start to finish. The orchestra sounded perfect, and the accompanying visuals and light show added wonderfully to the experience. Anyone who is a fan of Star Trek must see that show!!
Absolutely fantastic show. Entertaining all the way to the end. I would definitely recommend this to all fans of Trek.
Thoroughly enjoyed the Star Trek Experience. The music was great but the film/video clips were the best. Brought back a lot of memories.
This was such a great show in so many ways. The live music was fantastic and the visuals to accompany were for the most part well-chosen and so much fun to watch. Unlike any symphony event I've ever attended. Very accessible, even to kids. Loved that it covered all the versions of Star Trek - all the TV shows (except the animated version), and all the movies. It was so cool that it was narrated by Michael Dorn (Worf). I absolutely loved that it included my most favourite moment in all ST: Spock's death scene from the Wrath of Khan. The theme of Star Trek showing who we are and what we value as humankind was inspiring! Great start to Star Trek's 50th Anniversary celebrations this year - for me, next is Vul-con in Vulcan, Alberta and of course the Star Trek convention in Las Vegas. Live long and prosper! @1TrekFan
This was a good show. The music was very well played by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, and it was wonderful to hear the pieces I've listened to from the films and television shows played live. There was a nice mix of pieces from the various versions of Trek - the only thing I missed was Stealing the Enterprise from Star Trek III...that could have been played in its entirety. Ron Jones (a composer from Next Generation who wrote the music to the famous "Best of Both Worlds" two-parter) came out and conducted a piece he composed for Starfleet Academy, a PC game - a pretty cool touch. A few minor niggles...I could have done without the weak voiceover from Michael Dorn, and the video clips, while entertaining enough, didn't add much. I would have liked to have seen more of the musicians - they were largely hidden behind the set decorations and it was hard to watch their technique. The orchestra was also amplified through the speaker system (due to the need to mix audio from the video clips?); I would have preferred to just hear the orchestra. These are very minor complaints from an otherwise excellent show. All that said, it was a fun evening and a unique experience. As a great fan of the music of Star Trek, hearing it played live was a wonderful treat. Thanks to the musicians who did a great job.
The Star Trek Music is great, however this performance lacked any lustre or engagement. It was just a boring concert with a moderate sized video screen showing different scenes from the series and Star Trek Movies. Thank goodness for subtitles or you wouldn't be able to hear the video commentary. Commentator was NOT well known either. If Shatner had commentated the video, it would have added to the production. The conductor only spoke once after intermission to introduce another conductor who wrote some of the music. ( Not even a welcome from him at the beginning!) The fans of Star Trek have kept it alive for 50 years. This 50 year celebration should have been much more interactive and engaging to say thank you to those who have kept it going. "To boldly go where no man has gone before...."
