    Incredible

by CaroD on 2021-09-20Scène Rio Tinto - Montreal

Je n’ai jamais vu un guitariste jouer aussi bien, chanter, jouer du drum en même temps ET ACCORDER SA GUITARE SANS ARRÊTER! Wtf! Malade, quel gars talentueux. J’en reviens même pas.

I just saw Steve Hill for the first time. What an experience! Intense blues rock show. How he can play multiple instruments with such intensity is beyond this world!

    Modern Day One Man Band

by Russell on 2014-10-25West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

If we've been lucky, we've seen a one man band pack-sacking a bass drum with strings connecting his feet to cymbals etc. Steve Hill carries this concept brilliantly into the electric age. It takes a lot of coordination to play a musical instrument, but to play drums and guitar at the same time while singing and to get the sound of a full rock band while doing it takes more than coordination and Steve Hill has what it takes. Be prepared for a healthy portion of rock and blues tunes with a side dish of acoustic delicacies served up on many different guitars. There were a couple of tunes that were similar and so a few times things seemed repetitive, but overall the show moved well, and the change-ups were energizing. This is a seasoned guitar player who is not afraid to bolt a drum stick to the neck of a guitar and strap a soft drink can to one foot, or play a high hat and bass drum simultaneously and belt out screaming rock and roll or blues. Stay for the encore, because when he sounds like the whole of Led Zeppelin playing "Whole Lotta Love" it will move you like few other musical experiences.
