    Strawberry Fields

by Skiwithdanny on 2017-10-17B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

Good musicianship from the band. Music covers all periods of The Beatles. Music wise worth seeing. Very average buffet. Cocktails are scams - example: never ending Mimosa. Very old venue that needs updating.

Great afternoon for any Beatles fan

Great show with a good buffet. Wasn't happy about all the song choices, but they did hit a few of my favourites!! Friendly gentlemen. "Paul McCartney" even came around for pictures during intermission.

    Sweet

The boys did not disappoint and gave a high energy show that spanned the ages. The music, vocals, and costumes made you feel like you were seeing the Fab 4 for real....and the mac and cheese was excellent.

The band was very good - really sounded like the Beatles. The Thanksgiving menu was a bit pricy, so we ordered off the menu - both of us had a ceasar salad with chicken - not recommended - the salad was wet without any dressing (tasted like water) and the chicken was overcooked - neither of us could eat it - left most of it on the plate. it was quite a disappointment as we had been here 2 years earlier to see the Harlem Gospel Choir - that was amazing and the food outstanding, so to have such bad food was a complete shock to us.

    Strawberry Fields

At the beginning, we were instructed to "Close our eyes and imagine that..." It's not their fault that these four guys were 30 years older than the Beatles in their prime. The intimate BB King theatre made them look like geezers dressed up like the Fab Four. That being said, the impressions were excellent - down to the Liverpudlian accents, the subtle fingering of the guitars, arched eyebrows, and they sounded a lot like the Beatles, especially in the first half British Invasion era cover. The song selection was eclectic with some rarities, and not enough Lennon songs. The sound, seating and service was very good, but the buffet was disappointing. Not enough selection, and lukewarm. I would recommend it to a hard core Beatles afficianado, but otherwise, there are too many entertainment options in NYC to bother going to this one.
