SUBURBAN LEGENDS IN CONCERT:

SoCal ska rockers Suburban Legends have been getting fans skanking at their wild live shows since the late '90s, and they've lost none of their brass-heavy bravado nearly two decades later. In concert they're all blaring horns and adrenaline-filled energy, whipping fans into a frenzy with their animated showmanship as they perform breakneck anthems like "Up All Night" and "Forever in the Friendzone". Leading the charge is frontman Vince Walker, whose rallying-cry vocals and infectious onstage energy send the band's frenetic live sets into overdrive. Whether they're performing up-tempo originals or entertaining fans with their ska-tastic covers of Disney classics like "Under the Sea" and the DuckTales Theme, the Suburban Legends live up to their name with unforgettable performances every time they take the stage.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

The Suburban Legends formed in 1998 in Huntington Beach, CA and performed as The No Tones and The Bomb Squad before adopting their current moniker in 1999. Following a demo album the band released a self-titled debut EP in 2001, which they supported with hundreds of shows at Downtown Disney in Anaheim. Their debut album Rump Shaker arrived in 2003, drawing them out for extensive touring that helped them establish a loyal national fanbase. Trumpet player Vince Walker took over for lead singer Tim Maurer in 2005 and made his vocal debut on the disco-infused 2006 EP Dance Like Nobody's Watching, which ushered in a period of creative experimentation for the group. After additional forays into pop and funk, the band returned to their ska roots for the 2012 album Day Job, which fans hailed as a welcome return to form. Since then they've released an EP of Disney covers and the 2015 album Forever in the Friend Zone, a high-energy collection of punk-infused ska tunes that make a perfect addition to the band's rollicking live sets.
