Tedeschi Trucks Band Tickets

Tedeschi Trucks great guitar work from Derek, good vocals from Susan and strong backing vocals. Only negative was many of the songs sounded similar.

A definite ‘doing it again’ on the show.. ! and opener Ziggy Marley was wonderful as well!

Tedeshi-Trucks Band with opener Ziggy Marley. With an 11-piece band the Tedeshi-Trucks band exceeded all expectations by delivering a smooth, R&B/Funk/Blues offering that was at times sweet and at other times roaring. Susan Tedeshi is a great vocalist and a fine guitarist who was joined by all three back-up singers taking lead vocal to spectacular effect (Mike Mattison, Alecia Chakour & Mark Rivers). Their keyboard player Gabe Dixon also sang lead on several songs with a high soulful voice that blended beautifully with Susan Tedeshi's voice. The band was spectacular but rising above all was the fabulous slide playing of Derek Trucks. Superlatives do not do justice to Trucks playing. BB King called him "the best I've ever heard"and to be honest that's an understatement. Absolutely no one sounds like him. With nods to Jeff Beck, The Allman Brothers and John Prine, their originals crackled with style & fire. Do yourself a favour and see this band again when they come back. You will not be dissappointed. BTW - Ziggy Marley was a great opener. He had a fantastic band and got everyone jamming. His own songs were inspired and grooving and if you closed your eyes, his covers of Get Up-Stand Up and Is This Love could convince you that you were listening to his Father. He was the perfect opener on a perfect night. I would see this show all over again given the chance.

Pairing Tedeschi Trucks band with opening act Ziggy Marley actually worked well. Both artists have positive messages and I enjoyed the mix of reggae, blues and rock. Derick Trucks was definately one of the highlights of the evening with his superb guitar playing. Susan was also great and she played one of my favourite John Prine songs. Loved the funk jam encore with both bands. Being outdoors on a warm summer night completed the evening.

GA FLOORS for this show. Great sound. Both bands were amazing. Long walk in with INDY being set up but worth every penny.

The Tedeschi Trucks band put on a show for the ages. What an amazing show and what a great vibe at the show. What was NOT great was the inconvenience caused by the Honda Indy. It was over a 20+ minute walk from Exhibition GO station to the venue, due to Exhibition place being inaccessible which was NOT cool. Either free shuttle buses should be run for the benefit of the paying customers or there should be no concerts held during Indy weekend as it's far too much of a hassle. Will have to remember this in the future, as I will NOT be attending any shows during Indy weekend. Typical for Toronto, everything is falling apart or is a major inconvenience
