There was nothing terribly bad about the Addams Family, but there was nothing particularly good either. The sets were well put together, the cast was adequate, the writing sub-par and the music average and forgettable. Not a complete waste of time, but there are definitely better shows to see on Broadway.
A great night of fun entertainment. Great acting and singing! Highly recommend!
Had a great time watching Addams Family, one of those feel good comedies. ;) It brought me back to my childhood and everything was amazing, from the cast, props, special effects, costumes, and the staff. Everything was well done.
Roger Rees and Brooke Shields were amazing as Gomez and Morticia Addams. The whole cast just made us laugh. Grandma, Lurch, Uncle Fester, everyone on stage were truly amazing. We couldn't stop talking about it. There were 8 of us ranging in age from 13 to 49 years old. Four of which were in their early 20's. We all thought it was excellent. By far the best comedy we've ever seen on Broadway.
Thought the the musical was really well done, the actors voices carried very well, we understood everything said and sang. Thought the set changes were done very discretly and did not take anything away from the play. Well done.
The Addams Family was very entertaining. I was a little disappointed as I thought when I bought the tickets in December that Nathan Lane was playing Gomez but Roger Rees was great.
Hilarious from start to finish. The cast was great. The grandmother and Uncle Fester were beyond amazing. Wednesday and Lurch had great vocals and Alice won the crowd. A+++++++++
Enjoyed the show - especially Grandma!!! And of course, Lurch really shined at the end. Did not know when tickets were bought that Nathan Lane was no longer in the play, but it didn't seem to matter...
We wanted to see Wicked again but thought we should try something new. Addams Family was very cute especially in the first half of the show. We almost prefer that there'd be more dialogue as opposed to music. The daughter (Wednesday) had a beautiful singing voice and I think she's the only one (other than her fiance) who actually cut it as professionals singers.
