    Pure awesomeness!!!

by SJai on 2011-09-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

If you have an educated musical taste you should watch this ensemble at least once ... and once you've seen it you'd want to see it again. Professionalism, dedication, perfection, sensibility.

If you love Russian/patriotic music-go next time!!

by Maka123 on 2011-09-13Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The music was fantastic - both the choir and the instrumental. All the classic Russian pieces, including the soaring patriotic songs, were performed/played beautifully. An added bonus were the great dancers and choreography. Go see this next time they're in town - you won't be dissapointed. (Also, the renovated Sony Centre (old O'Keefe) is beautiful and a pleasure to attend. The themed food in the "restaurant" was good also and a great idea - I would make one suggestion though, there should be table service).

Superb performance by Red Army Choir & Ensemble

by Scarberian on 2011-09-12Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The Alexandrov Red Army Choir and Ensemble gave a truly wonderful performance. The 40+ voice choir, full orchestra (including traditional instruments), soloists and dancers were all of the highest calibre. Their rendition of 'Oh, Canada' was the best I've ever heard; powerful and moving. Almost three hours of beautiful, touching songs (traditional, romance). The dancers were delightful. Their world-class artistry and athleticism was matched by their precision and humourous choreography. A glimpse of the rich Russian culture.`

    absolute delight !

by enne on 2011-09-10Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

wonderful control by chorus of its singing voice. Great mix of dance and voice. Loved the soloists and they went "over the top" with singing style but appropriately a la "the three tenors".

    Red Army Excellent

by Boboff on 2011-09-10Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

My husband, daughter and myself were thoroughly thrilled with the performance. Such talent, feeling and dedication to their craft. The music was very moving and we enjoyed the various conductors. The dancing was amazing with costumes so beautiful to behold. An excellent evening that we will not soon forget. Please return to Toronto in the future. Thank you for giving us such pleasure. We also enjoyed watching the video images overhead.
