The Deep Dark Woods were exceptional.

by PerryJerome on 2012-05-11West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

The Deep Dark Woods were exceptional. Passionate vocals with heart felt lyrics delivered by an energetic front-man and heady instrumentals by each member of the band. The show was long and entertaining, which made the small sum paid seem insignificant.

    Sensationally Underrated

by filmclint on 2011-11-21Vic Juba Theatre - Lloydminster, AB

The Deep Dark Woods are a band that know exactly who they are and what they are doing. They are a band whose music is not only timeless, but heartfelt, passionate and engaging. Ryan Boldt's dry wit and confidence ensures that he never loses touch with his audience as the music almost leaps off the stage. I cannot recommend them enough.

    Deep Dark Woods too dark

by Bigbob52 on 2011-09-18West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

I was really disappointed in the energy level that Deep Dark Woods put out. Overall it seemed like it was all lengthy mellow songs, with lengthy instrumental breaks in the middle of each one. A couple of songs in their second set were a bit more memorable but all in all not very exciting. I quite liked some of the keyboard player's stuff though,
