About

In 2022, The Gaslight Anthem returned to the stage for the first time in four years.

Unlike those shows (which celebrated the ten-year anniversary of their breakthrough LP The '59 Sound), last year's tour explored every corner of the band's discography in festival and headline dates around the world.

Having recorded their first album in nearly a decade and with a new single "Positive Charge" out now, these 2023 shows mark a new beginning for The Gaslight Anthem.

Great Band / not a good venue

by Melody on 2022-10-05RBC Echo Beach - Toronto

Not an ideal venue. There was no parking at Ontario Place. The portable washrooms had no lights. The food and drink were far from stage ( I saved some money!) Thankfully the music was fantastic

    Concert at echo beach toronto

by Jenniflower on 2022-10-04RBC Echo Beach - Toronto

It wasn’t bad but I think the singer was drunk or high as he kept rambling on about random stuff.. like a lot of just talking.

    Gaslight

by Liser on 2022-10-04RBC Echo Beach - Toronto

Lots of rambling on and on about nothing instead of singing… no encore I assume because half the show was just talking and time ran out.

    Self-indulgent monologues, some sound issues

by KRM on 2022-10-04RBC Echo Beach - Toronto

Was looking forward to seeing this band after their reunion. Because their studio sound is so polished I expected a solid and competent show. Echo beach is a weird venue but no big deal there. Brian Fallon basically ruined this with his several weird, stream-of-consciousness ramblings between songs, including and especially one that lasted for no less than 13 minutes! (See it on YouTube for a quarter hour you will never get back). Apparently they had to skip 3-4 songs due to this nonsense. By the end of that incoherent rant, he had completely lost the crowd who were previously enthusiastic but actively booing him by the end of his monologue, and never really got them back. There were a few hiccups and sound issues but these were minor compared to Brian's huge unforced error. I felt for the other band members who did their jobs and seemed to keep trying to get their front man under control. The show was OK overall but could have been much better if Brian just shut the hell up.

    TheGaslightAnthem '59 Sound

by JiuJitsuAndre on 2018-08-14REBEL - Toronto

I bought tickets for this the day that they went on sale in January. So this concert was a long time coming. I had bought two tickets - one for someone that soon decided they did not want to know me. As luck would have it There was a 2nd show on the Thursday and I traded the extra Friday ticket for a Thursday ticket. The concert itself was amazing. I have not seen the band since Early 2015. They started out with 4-5 songs from various Albums and went right in to Great Expectations and the rest of the '59 Sound album. Personal faves were the Here's Looking at You Kid and The Backseat. As for both nights - they varied the none '59 Sound songs they played a bit. The Rebel has really good sound. My only gripe is that it was an all ages show but they allowed people to walk on to the floor with alcohol which spilled all the time. Perhaps the next time the Rebel can have a section for the people who want to drink (fenced off like other venues). It would be nice to not have booze spilled all over.

    No filler all thriller

by Kiwibestpart on 2018-08-14REBEL - Toronto

This was rock n roll at its finest. Rapid fire show. Tight 25 tunes. Does not get any better than this.

Gaslight always delivers a stellar performance but the sound was spectacular the venue was spacious and able to see and the bartenders were fairly quick as well
