    Amazing Band

by Jessica on 2019-06-16Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Absolutely loved seeing the Heavy, and hope they come back to the city again soon. My only issue was the venue, as being 5’6 in a room full of a lot of tall men, I found it hard to see, and couldn’t find any space in the elevated areas to view, as people got their early to sit at all the tables.

See them any and every chance you get! High octane energy from a band having the time of their lives <3

    Great Music, Great Energy!

    by C. M. on 2019-06-16Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

It's been a while since I've been to a show where the crowd gets in to a show as much as they did for this one! Also super friendly vibe - no pushing or drinks tossed... just a lot of people having a good time to some awesome tunes!

    Wow

by Candyman on 2019-06-16Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Wow, The Heavy tore it up! The band was tight, and singer Kelvin Swaby kept the crowd going throughout the show. Great night of R&B/funk. Opening act Jesse Jo Stark didn’t disappoint, as she crooned and swayed her way through her soulful set.

    The Heavy was amazing!!

by lesfilling on 2016-05-05Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

This is my first time seeing The Heavy although I've been listening to them for years. Being a working musician myself, it's difficult to make all the shows because I'm playing. But this one fell on a Monday so it worked out and omigod, what a show! The band was pumped and ready and so was the audience. I go to many concerts and that might be the most "into it" crowd I've ever seen at The Commodore! Singing along to every song, dancing and pretty much doing whatever Kel (lead singer) asked them to. And the band smoked. The setlist was well thought out, the songs were perfectly performed - they were in fine form. The whole show was excellent from start to finish. Wow!!
