The Hives are a Swedish rock band known for their energetic live performances and hit songs. The 2023 album The Death of Randy Fitzsimmons marked their first release after a decade-long hiatus. Led by frontman Howlin' Pelle Almqvist, the band has a distinctive style that includes dressing in matching black-and-white tuxedos on stage. As for their sound, The Hives were an integral part of the garage rock revival of the early 2000s. With a lineup that has remained consistent over the years, including members like Nicholaus Arson and Chris Dangerous, The Hives have left a lasting impact on the music industry with albums like 2000's Veni Vidi Vicious and 2012's Lex Hives. "Hate to Say I Told You So," the first single from Veni Vidi Vicious, peaked at number 25 on the US Mainstream Rock Billboard chart.
To connect with The Hives:
Incredible show! So much energy and interaction from the band.
Couldn’t believe they were playing such a small venue. They literally blew the roof off. So much fun and energy.
Pelle’s stage presence was entertaining. The band sounded great. It was nice to see the hives in a small club like Lee’s Palace.
so nice to see the world's best live band without having to enduring the "pink" crowd
Great venue! Great crowd! Great band! The Hives love Toronto and Toronto loves the Hives!
Honestly one of the best shows I have been to in a while. They have such energy on stage that even if you aren't a huge fan of their music, it would be hard to not enjoy them live Amazing show!
Been to so many concerts this year but the two top concerts are The Hives and Biffy Clyro.
The Hives are the best live band I have ever seen. They take command of the stage and the audience. With crazy rock music, and unforgettable antics by Pelle and Nicholas Arson you should never miss a show!
What an unforgettable show! The Hives really just know how to perform like musicians should perform, and they will NEVER EVER let your attention go elsewhere. When watching their show you will always be engaged and always want to dance and sing and rock out with them. These guys know exactly what they're doing, and they make fantastic music as well. The level of audience interaction was outstanding and not in the "clap your hands to the beat" deal every single time. There was singing with him, and dancing certain moves with him, and running jokes, and screaming so Howlin' Pelle wouldn't suck our blood. It's personal moments like those alongside such a rockin performance that makes a band so good live. And these guys are REALLY good live.
The band was incredibly crowd-pleasing! The band members loved connecting with the audience by posing for pictures and coming to the edge of the stage.
