    The Huron Carole was fantastic!

by Blessing on 2014-12-23Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

The Huron Carole gave me goosebumps! This is the third time I've seen it and again it was great! Very spiritual and uplifting. Tom Jackson is so humble and his performers were great. I will be coming back.

    A Spiritual Evening

by BYEBYEBLACKBIRD on 2014-12-19Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

This is our third year in a row to experience the Huron Carol. It has now become our tradition that sets the tone for Christmas and the New Year; the tone being the importance of giving back to the community and especially those in our community who are hungry. The first part of the show focused on Tom Jackson and his story of spiritual redemption which underscored his reasons for his annual music fundraiser for poverty and hunger.. The second part of the program showcased the talents of Don Amero, Shannon Gay, Bev Mahood , One More Girl and of course Tom Jackson and his deep rich tones. The show always ends with a very quiet and beautiful rendition of Silent Night with the audience encouraged to joini in . My only recommendation would be that Tom Jackson ,change up some of his jokes and anecdotes in the first segment as they have been repeated 3 years in a row for us. I will go next year as it truly is the spirit of Christmas - it is about giving My only criticism is that Jackson needs to change up some of the jokes and

Huron Carole Great Cause but ....

by Billibob on 2014-12-17Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

My husband and I believe in the cause that the show supports - but over the years the show seems to be repetitive - there are so many different xmas carols but seem to hear same each year ?? Wondering too why the show was moved to Pantages - as this theatre is a smaller venue and the seats rather uncomfortable.

This is one concert that my husband will go to every year and totally enjoy. The talent is wonderful. Tom Jackson's sense of humor is always good for a laugh. Good way to start with the true Christmas spirit. Happy Holidays!

    Very good But

by Terrydcar on 2014-12-17Pantages Playhouse Theatre - Winnipeg

The event and content were really great, But for the first half before intermission, I could only hear maybe about 10% of what was being said or sung. Tom Jackson speaks so softly and the volume was so low that the majority was lost. At intermission, I spoke to one of the staff and explained my problem, first asking if they had the earphones like MTC, then asked if it would be possible to have the volume turned up. She indicated she would speak to one of the managers and she what could be done. She obviously got something accomplished, because the second half was much better. Thank you.

It was ok, The second half of he show was better.

by TG13 on 2014-12-10Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

The first half of the show was ok but the people beside us left. It was a little too church through the first half for me. The second half when all the individual artists played Christmas carols or their own music it was much better.
