Pink Floyd Experience a Great Trip Down Memory Lan

by WinnipegProgRockFan on 2015-02-16Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

If they allowed half-stars I would have given 4.5! They covered the heyday of Pink Floyd's creative brilliance - Shine on you Animals (Side B) Crazy Diamond (Side B), Meddle (B Side - the entire Echoes piece!), and Dark Side of the Moon (B Side), with interspersed tracks from The Wall and "One of These Days". Their Sound was excellent in a small venue (Burton Cummings), and not overly loud (in fact, could have probably been a bit louder, but i'm not complaining because my 11 year-old daughter was along and enjoyed it as well!) Music was very true to the albums, nice lighting effects. The only weakness i saw was in the vocals - were mixed a bit quiet. But it's understandable - vocals are so particular to the original artists that this is the first area criticisms often arise. They were adequate, but i did miss Gilmour's and Waters' distinctive vocals. Only disappointment to the night was they couldn't float the giant pig through the venue during the Encore (especially disappointing to my daughter!). But they did bring it out after people had filed out so those wanting to see it at least could say that they did. It did peak out from the backstage during parts of the concert. Overall, a great deal - terrific musicians, music/show based, true to the sound as a good Tribute Band should be. Would definitely see them again if they come.

    PINK fLOYD EXPERIENCE

by OLDSAILOR on 2015-02-15Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I thought the music was excellent. The band played very close to the original music. The sound was well balanced and not overpowering for the most part. I was disappointed there was no encore. The video presentation left a lot to be desired. I expected better. Grainy and repetitive.

This was the first time I've seen the Pink Floyd Experience and I thought the performance was excellent. They were very energized throughout the whole show. They had amazing solos on the saxophone and the guitar! I would definitely go again!

From opening to the end the band had the crowd on awe. It took the crowd through four album sides.

    A Great Experience of Pinkness

by GeraldH on 2015-02-14Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

I'm a huge Floyd fan and these boys know their material and are excellent musicians. Some more obscure tracks mixed in with the favorites. Saw the '4 Sides of Floyd' themed show. Where else are you going to hear a complete side of 'Dark Side' played live!

The Pink Floyd Experience was phenomenal

by FaeW on 2015-02-14Burton Cummings Theatre - Winnipeg

Although I am not a Pink Floyd expert, I had a fantastic time at this concert. They played a wide arrange of songs from most of Pink Floyd's albums which they blended together seamlessly. The light show and videos added to the experience but most of all watching the band play and interact with each other was fabulous. The highlight of the band for me was their incredible bassist and saxophonist which each received solos (of course the saxophone more so). Sadly they could not fly their pig since it was -30C outside which seemed to have affected the gases but they courteously apologised and introduced the band instead. I would go again in a heartbeat but preferably they come when it is warmer so I can see the pig.

    Pretty good.

by Bubba67 on 2013-03-17Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium - Edmonton

Overall it was a fairly enjoyable concert. Some of the solos were fairly decent. It's not up to par of the Roger Waters "The Wall" concert I saw few months back but it was acceptable.

Pink Floyd Experience Not worth it

by PGCEECEE on 2013-03-17Prince George CN Centre - Prince George

visual and sound effects were good, but the song sets were not well managed as they did not play any of the top songs except for one hit in the first half. Saw the real Pink Floyd in Switzerland not even close. We left before the show was over as we were not enjoying the experience. the crowd in our area was drinking excessively and security had to remove a few people that were being disruptive good seats but not worth the money.
