    Confusing Storyline, Good Cast

by Leanneybabes on 2018-04-06Fox Theatre Detroit - Detroit

I've seen this movie hundreds of times and felt like this was just mediocre. Just to paint a picture - tickets were pricey, seats were subpar, the play started on time even though there was a delay in people being seated (half the audience wasn't seated when the show started, the Fox theatre should've allowed the show to start a few mins late due to complete chaos in detroit beyond anyone's control). The show was confusing as there were important songs/scenes taken out, songs were moved around, children fell instantly in love with Maria which made no sense, no chemistry between Captain and Maria, and pointless songs added in for Max and Baroness. Save your money and watch the movie.

    Pleasantly surprised

by Odi13 on 2018-01-12Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

My sister and I went to see the show on Sunday Night and were very glad to see that it did ot deviate too much from what we remembered growing up. We watched it every Christmas with our Mom ( who loves it). The vocals were incredible. I would recommend it to anyone who loves musicals.

    Great performance

by McDepth on 2018-01-10Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

This was a wonderful performance of a classic play, and it was fun to introduce my daughter to the story. I did have to explain some of the historical backstory, but she enjoyed the music and dancing. And the children did a fabulous job.

    Sound of Music was amazing!!!

We absolutely loved the show...can't pick a favorite part. The singing in the show was so beautiful and the children so talented....Took 2 grandaughters with me and they too loved it.Our only complaint with the show is the pillars they used on the set blocked our view of the stage on one side....:(
