THIS SHOW WAS SO MUCH FUN!!! HILARIOUS!! THE ACTORS WERE CAST PERFECTLY AND THE AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION WAS TRULY AN EXPERIENCE. I BELIEVE THIS SHOW IS A GIFT TO THE LIVE THEATRE GENRE, MY FAMILY AND I LEFT THE SHOW COMPLETELY ENTERTAINED! THANK YOU TO ALL INVOLVED IN THIS WONDERFUL SHOW!! :-)
it was hillarious, enjoyable from beginning to end
My teenage children and I absolutely loved this play. The first act is certainly the strongest of the two and highly entertaining with lots of surprises. Don't miss Spelling Bee!
I thought it had its great moments, the cast was very good. Very talented singers and actors. Very entertaining!
This was the most laughing I have ever done at live theatre - absolutely hilarious. My two teenagers roll thier eyes sometimes when buy us all theatre tickets - and they had doubts about this one too before we went. Both of them have thanked me about ten times since leaving the theatre for makling them go. It was a big hit with all of us.
It was played up like the funniest thing ever, and that made it slightly disappointing. Although it had its funny moments, it was just okay
If you have yet to get your tickets to The 25th Annual Putnam Spelling Bee, I enthusiastically recommend doing so. It's downright hilarious! The cast of characters is an electic mix, each acted and sung to their full potential. The musical numbers are enjoyable, witty, and catchy. The writing is clever and funny. I cannot say enough good things about this Theatre Calgary production except: go see it!
The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee was so funny. I laughed throughout the entire show. I wouldn't recommend it for young children as there is some adult content, but for older children and anyone else, it was great.
Te first half of the show is pretty funny. Lots of out loud laughing. The second half gets a bit overdone and melancholy. Great voices. Much enthusiasm shown by the capable cast. Loads of local humor which goes down well with the audience.
Overall the play was very good. The first half was a lot funnier than the second. The use of audience participation was fantastic and resulted in some very funny scenes. I would recommend to others.
