I have been to too many Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO) concerts since 2012 to remember just how many, but it is well into the double digits. Right from their theater (or 'theatre' as we spell it in Canada) circuit performances in the early days (i.e., the legendary Massey Hall here in Toronto, Ontario) to the eventual more bombastic arena shows, TSO has always delivered the 'TRIPLE-E' of production (i.e., Exceptional, Elaborate, Extravagant) for the better part of about 2 hours and 20 minutes. Once the bombast is stripped away, we become privy to enjoying an incredibly talented and entertaining group of vocalists and musicians who delivery precision performances, covering a wide spectrum of musical genres, ranging from jazzy show tunes, r'n'b, classical, operatic, power ballads, hard rock/heavy metal and just about everything in between; and, all set to a Christmas theme, in a manner than welcomes anyone, regardless of one's religious traditions. After all, this is in essence a rock show albeit of multiple dimensions; and, it all makes for a (get ready for some unplanned alliteration) fun family-friendly feel-good experience for people of all ages and backgrounds. I would strongly recommend that anyone who has never attended a TSO concert, take the opportunity to do so the next time that TSO visits your local venue. Happy Holidays, Happy Kringle and Merry Christmas !!!
