The game was great, but the food service was quite poor. How could they not have prepped and pre-wrapped hotdogs well in advance. The menu was so limited to start with, yet the wait for those few items were 30-minutes+, well past 7pm scheduled start time.
This event was so much fun. Both teams did a great job. It had skill, excitement, penalties, shoot out, substitutions and just a whole lot of fun. I loved that we had 5 coaches and UBC only had 1. I brought 2 people with me and they had a blast.
Amazing event, put together in a couple of weeks. Lots of fun, good entertainment in support of some great causes. Liked the use of BC Lions - Paul McCallum for the puck drop. The UBC players did a pretty good job and were great in the shoot-out antics. What can you say when Michael Buble shows up to play (although we undertstand he did not feel he could keep up with the Sedins) but donated $100,000 to the cause ayway. Great crowd, very pro Canucks but the UBC students were not too shabby either. We seldom if ever get to see Michael Buble and most of the Canucks players up close even as Canucks Seasons Ticket Holders. Loved the Game jersey presentation to the little kids - went over very well. Liked having "The Moj & Dave Tomlinson" onsite doing their 1040 segment.
We all had a fabulous time at this event (and one of us isn't really a diehard hockey fan like the rest of us are). It was very well organized and entertaining ('cept at the end of the 2nd when Bieksa's Buddies were down 7-3 :). And, the kids. They are beautiful. So nice to be able to be a part of this.
I had the best time at Beiska's Buddies Charity Tournament! It felt so good to wear my hockey jearsey and be part of something big. First, assuming Michael Buble would sing Oh Canada and when the moment came, being surprised by The Canadian Tenors who took on the task. It was such a treat to have both high profile Entertainers in the building. Second, the game constantly flowed with minimal game stoppages after each goal was scored. Third, UBC Thunderbirds showed their competitive edge and put on a show! Last but not least, the pre-planned Shoot-Out was above and beyond any expectations.
We had so much fun. The parking was well organized. The venue was great except there was no ATM.
Thank you to Kevin Bieksa and his buddies for an amazing night of hockey. It was fun, lighthearted and a feel-good experience for audience and players alike. I wish it was always like this.
It was great to see many members of the Canucks on the ice. I think more events against local teams should be done. Lots of fun!

This event was so much fun, it made me forget that I hate the Canucks. It was for a good cause. Missed opportunity not having Michael Buble sing the national anthem, but The Tenors killed it. Only complaint was the concessions. My friend missed the entire second period waiting for french fries. If debit/credit is such a problem, just do cash only.
