The Fighters / Undisputed: Boxing at the Hershey
by Raw70 on 2011-02-22Hershey Centre - MississaugaAs is the case in all cards of boxing, there are good fights and there are bad fights. The majority of this card was not nearly as strong as the promoters were professing. One fighter from Sheffield spent a lot of time rolling around on the canvas... not because of knock-downs, but because of pushes etc. The main event featured a boxer from the Dominican who is oviously long past his due. As a 40-year old guy recovering from major hip surgery, I think I am in better shape than this guy was. However, it only takes one good fight to make the whole night worthwhile, and the Vargas/Borsch fight definitely did that! It ended in a draw, though the fans thought the 10-round decision was won by Vargas. I had it 96 - 94 for Vargas. He won the first half of the fight, then let Borsch back into it, but Vargas easily won the 10th to put it to bed. This was a great fight! Big applause for both Borsch and Vargas as they made the whole night a success just by fighting as hard as they both did!
