Mumford, Arkells, Vance Joy.. how can u go wrong?

by Shanoogie on 2015-08-12Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

This was one of THE best festivals I've been to: well-run, lots of thought put into placement of misting stations, power up stations, food vendors and washrooms (lots of them by the way). The stage setups were top-notch, and when it came to the last show of the night (Mumford) -- it was better sound than in an enclosed arena (seriously)!! If you didn't have a heartbeat, the bass gave you one. ;-) Best of all, patrons were really on best behaviour -- I didn't see one incident. Nada... amazing. There were quite a few families, i.e. kids running around, and it honestly was a safe place for them to be. I encourage everyone to take this in next year! And oh yeah, don't worry about the drive up or traffic -- it's the best route (Sea to Sky) and almost no delay in getting to the parking lots.

    Good times

by MCJDC on 2015-08-11Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

Absolutely loved the Squamish Music Festival. The festival was well organised with lots of water, washrooms, things to eat and good security too. We were there with our two teenage sons and were all satisfied and happy. The one thing I wasn't happy about was that we are out of town and did not receive our wristbands/festival pakcage in time before we left. Those packages for people who order weeks ahead should be sent a good month before the festival. This caused some hassles and made us lose a lot of time waiting in line with people who were just buying tickets at the will call.

    It was all wonderful

by Xoechi on 2015-08-10Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

I drove down from Northern Alberta for SVMF and I was not disappointed! All of the food vendors were clean, quick and helpful! Lineups were never very long, and the concerts that were put on were all amazing! The town of Squamish was also beautiful, and the local shops and towns people were lovely! I will definitely be returning!

    RAP GOD-SLIM SHADY-MARSHALL MATHERS-EMINEM

by LindsayK on 2014-10-10Loggers Sports Grounds - Squamish, British Columbia

Squamish was my first festival that I had ever been too. I purchased VIP and flew from Red Deer, AB. I came alone, stayed in Whistler. Took the shuttles, enjoyed the scenery and of course the music. I only came for EMINEM! I stood in my spot all day and got front row for the Man I have been waiting to see live for 15 years. It was incredible! I will never forgot the moment it became so real! He was everything I hoped him to be live! The security that day were amazing, spraying everyone down with water, giving water to drink to all of us who were patiently waiting for EMINEM to come on stage. I don't have anything negative to say, because it was everything I ever imagined!

    Squamish Music Fest!

by CherylP on 2014-09-25Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

I have to say that for the age of the festival it is very well put together. I must note that it is not really for anyone over 40 as the seating is impossible (on the ground the whole time at the main stage, no chairs allowed). Because of the seating issue I will NOT be attending the full 3 days again! Also for anyone over 40 who feels up to the challenge, be prepared to be engulfed by 20 yr olds. To the credit of all those 20 somethings, you were always very courteous and kind to everyone around you. There was no fighting or pushing during the entire weekend. Thank you. All of this being said I would recommend the Squamish Music Fest to the young and the very young at heart, but I do throw out caution to those who want to enjoy and experience relaxing and embracing the beat of the music. I guarantee you will be living on the edge in a high energy, very young environment where relaxing is not a part of the vibe and is not in their vocab!

    Squamish Festival was unforgettable!!

by ck4life on 2014-09-16Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

The lineup in itself was spectacular, but the atmosphere and things to see and do within the Festival Grounds and of course around town was so much fun! Can't wait for next year's!!

Everything was too spread out. Spent most of the time waiting on shuttles or walking between stages. Went to Pemberton this year also and the set up was far superior to Squamish. Few of the volunteers could give reliable directions anywhere. Showers at triangle camp had severely long lines all morning until after they would shut in due to lack of water. Was a continual source of frustration. The beer gardens at pemberton allowed us to have some drinks while we still had great views of all of the stages. At Squamish being in the beer gardens meant you might as well have been in a pub because you could barely see the stage. I spent significantly less at Squamish due to this so I guess I can thank you for that. The music was great though.

    Good & Bad

by Ashley87 on 2014-08-24Loggers Sports Grounds and Centennial Fields - Squamish

The performances were amazing but the organization outside the event was lousy. When we arrived at the event by car we were directed to 5 different parking lots before someone told us we should have bought a parking pass in advance. The attendant actually advised us to park our call illegally and "hope you're not towed". We did end up finding a space (after 2 hours of circling) but the whole experience was very frustrating. That being said, everything inside the venue was great, the musicians were awesome and the staff helpful.
