    Not the original version

by Foxycdn on 2020-02-21Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

I saw the original on the london stage in 2002. This version was a modern version with the same tunes. The original had a far better storyline very funny and entertaining, that used names of iconic British music stars living and dead. That brought the whole futuristic story together. Personally, the music was fantastic but this modern version was flat by comparison. I wish you had left the original version alone for Canadian's to enjoy in its original format the way it was meant to be.

    Stomp Stomp Clap

by R. D. on 2020-02-18Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

We surprised our 10 year old Queen-obsessed niece with tickets as an early birthday present and she loved it! The main idea behind the story - the shift toward computer-made music and lack of human musicians - is surprisingly even more relevant today than it was when the show first premiered almost 20 years ago. The plot did feel like it fell apart in the second act (the ending was maybe too quick/convenient?) but the performances were great - we especially loved the Killer Queen. So much fun to sing along to, though you'll have Queen songs stuck in your head for weeks afterward (not necessarily a bad thing!).

    Amazing!

by M on 2020-02-15Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

The vocals & band were AMAZING! (In particular Trevor Coll) The story line was super cute - a little cheesy but is a musical ever a good musical without any cheese? I definitely recommend.

I loved it! I laughed and cried was alot of emotion for me throughout. The music was incredible. There will never be another Freddie Mercury but i am sure he would have been proud. Fat bottom girls was my favourite performance. That dress was amazing and the singer phenomenal! Loved it,loved it! Highly recommend it!

    Amazing show

by Sharon on 2020-02-12Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

I took my 12 year old grandson. He was amazed. So many strong, talented actors. Every time some one sang you were surprised at how perfect their voice was. Not a weak performance from anyone. We loved it. Thankyou!

    Not enough Queen

by Rovert on 2020-02-12Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

It was possibly my expectation that caused my disappointment. I think Freddie said it was a theatrical performance not a concert by Queen (or something like that) which makes a lot more sense. I'd like to have seen the band far more than rather just the last minutes; in fact, I got to the point where I figured it was pre recorded music. I would have liked to have heard more music by Queen too, but as I say, it was my expectation that caused my disappointment The final ten to fifteen minutes is what I thought the whole show would be made of. I dozed off in the first half, second half was much better in my opinion.

Can't believe Queen put their name on this

by Chris on 2020-02-12Meridian Hall (formerly Sony Centre for the Performing Arts) - Toronto

Mediocre at best. It does not compare to any other musicals. The story is not great, no real special effects and they didn't even sing Love of my life. A complete waste of money. Also, Meridian Centre needs to figure out what their wine. $14 premium wine and it drank worse than my grandmother's homemade wine.
