by blairering on 2015-02-24L'Astral - MontréalI almost never see a band twice. With Whitehorse I look forward to seeing it for a third time when next they return. Talent, experience, entertaining, a pleasure to watch these two perform. My brother took me the first time. I took my son this time. Bravo.

by Dono13 on 2013-02-11Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegWe though that Luc and Mellissa have shown that solo careers can go so far, but collaborative thinking and performing can bring out even more of their creative genius.

Rating: 2 out of 5 Way too loud
by Peg71 on 2013-02-10Burton Cummings Theatre - WinnipegI took my father to the concert as we both enjoy Whitehorse. We enjoyed both opening acts and were looking forward to the main event. When Whitehorse came on stage and started playing, it was quite loud and as they added more instruments it just got louder. When the guitars kicked in the sound started to distort and my skin actually felt like it was moving. I knew that my father was uncomfortable and was going to ask event staff if they had ear plugs. We could also see Luc Doucet signaling the sound guys (who were right behind us) to turn up the volume. By the third song, my father asked if we could go. He couldn't enjoy the music with the volume and distortion. It was a shame as the music and voices of Whitehorse are fantastic. I would have loved seeing more audience interaction and a stripped down version of the show though that may have happened after we left.
Rating: 5 out of 5 The Real Deal
by tokenrhymer on 2013-01-28Commodore Ballroom - VancouverWow. Been a long time since I saw a show that moved me so much. The passion and honesty of these two is a pleasure to behold - not to mention the display of sheer talent ! The whole setup was tasteful too; the simple vertical art-panel backdrops, subtle lighting, and that single microphone center stage. The singers would take turns up front, showcasing their own tunes solo, while the other supported behind, or combine their voices into a beautiful balanced sound up front. There were also 4 microphones in the back, and all the various percussion tools for them to lay down their masterful rhythm loops. It really was incredible to watch. They were so poised, so at ease, so professional - I'm gushing but this was really something. I played in a band that opened for Acoustically Inclined at the Pump, and I think Luke was about 17 or 18 then? Obviously destined for a life of music. What they are trying to do, as a couple and musical team is worth supporting, and I don't see how this tour won't bring them many new fans.
Rating: 5 out of 5 Whitehorse and Emma-Lee Fantastic!!
by ric0047 on 2012-04-22West End Cultural Centre - WinnipegA memorable performance by both artists. Emma-Lee's solo set was great as It gave her a chance to show off her vocals with just her guitar accompaniment. Whitehorse put on a stellar show as the two artists' talents melded perfectly. The two of them have such a fantastic on-stage rapport. Luke Doucet's guitar playing was super as he demonstrated on some of his solos. Melissa McClelland's vocals and guitar on the song Brake was superb. All and All a great evening of entertainment.
Rating: 3 out of 5 Whitehorse
by das709 on 2012-04-22West End Cultural Centre - WinnipegThe show was good and certainly was a good display of the talent that these two individuals have. I was a little disappointed that there was no backing band for opening act and main show.

by Cavallobianco on 2012-02-28Winter Garden Theatre - TorontoBest show I've seen this year. I went on the strength of the one song I was familiar with and am now hooked. The interplay between them great, the venue great, his guitar chops and her voice great, opening act great (sorry can't remember her name )
