About

Critically acclaimed and multi-platinum band Young the Giant returns with their brand new single "Wake Up". The song marks the first glimpse into the group's imminent fifth studio release, American Bollywood. The new material will be released throughout 2022 as a series of four acts titled: Origins, Exile, Battle and Denouement. "Wake Up" is the band's return from the 2018 album Mirror Master which included their single "Superposition" which reached #1 on US Alternative Charts. Young The Giant was established in 2004 and is comprised of Sameer Gadhia (vocals), Jacob Tilley (guitar), Eric Cannata (guitar), Francois Comtois (drums) and Payam Doostzadeh (bass). The band first broke through with their 2010 self-titled debut album, which featured the RIAA-Multi platinum certified hits, "My Body" and "Cough Syrup". This was followed by the release of 2014's Mind Over Matter, which was both a commercial and critical success. Young the Giant continued to brave new themes and sonic landscapes with their wildly adventurous third album, Home of the Strange. The New York Times proclaimed Lead Singer Sameer Gadhia, "one of the great contemporary rock voices." The band has sold out performances at historic venues such as Radio City Music Hall, The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, The Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Red Rocks Amphitheater in Morrison, and more. They have become a festival mainstay at high profile outings such as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, Outside Lands, and Governor's Ball among others.

    Milky Chance was better

    by Emma on 2023-08-16

Milky chance came on with amazing energy. They played crowd favourites and the audience was totally into it. Young the giant did not live up to the hype. The energy from the crowd was best described as… tired. Not a lot of movement. Didn’t really play any songs to dance to. Left early to catch an Uber and wasn’t upset about it.

    Amazing show

    by Ellie on 2023-08-13

The concert was a wonderful experience. The production value was incredible, and the amount of care they put into the performance was evident from the band’s attitudes on stage. Such passion and joy, it literally filled the entire stadium

    Mid

Not much crowd interaction. Not a great set. Just mid all around

Good venue, some things could be better

    by Wmac on 2023-08-13

Milky Chance did a great set, and got the crowd bouncing with their laid back but upbeat sound. Young the Giant (IMO) started slow and seemed like a bit of a poser band more about style than the music. However, about half way through the set they seemed to find their energy and the crowd started to bounce. They definitely finished a lot stronger than they started. The venue was very good. Lots of street paid parking, parade parking right next to the venue and close to a major bus loop. Between bands their was only one egress point off of the floor that created an unnecessary bottleneck. Also, this was at a university with a lot of university aged kids. $16 beers and $6 dollar non-alcoholic drinks is a bit steep. I get they may want to avoid over consumption but it seemed a bit much.

Young the Giant really rocked it up. Milky Chance was equally entertaining. A all around great show. These guys can perform. Super, cool music.

    Amazing! Wonderful!

I had such an amazing time last night! Young the Giant sounded so freaking good! I love when bands can make their chill songs feel heavy live. I was living my best life dancing and singing along. I didn’t want the night to end.

    Great!

by Kelsey on 2023-06-15Place Bell - Laval

The concert was amazing! Young the giant and milky chance put on a fantastic show. My only suggestion (more so for Montreal than anything) is to have a different name, as both stadiums are very similar (centre bell vs place bell) and can be quite confusing.

    Music of the Soul

by Milo on 2023-06-03Place Bell - Laval

Between the light show, vocals and crowds energy when their favourite songs came on this show was amazing. Super cool transitions, between songs. It was amazing getting to see their first stop on their tour go off exceptionally.
