Jim Jefferies on Tour
Jim Jefferies is one of the most popular and respected comedians of his generation, entertaining audiences across the globe with his provocative, belief-challenging, and thought-provoking comedy. He was recently named one of the top 5 touring comedians in the world.
After receiving rave reviews for his 2018 international stand up tour, The Unusual Punishment Tour, Jim is back on the road with an entirely new routine for his The Night Talker Tour, with his international leg kicking off this November 2019. Additionally, Jim was recently honored as Stand-Up Comedian of the Year at the Just for Laughs Festival this summer. Jim is working with NBC on a multi-camera pilot which he would star in from writer-producer Suzanne Martin, Sean Hayes and Todd Milliner's Hazy Mills and Universal TV.
Most recently signed a first look deal with Comedy Central for content development in television and digital media. Additionally, Jim's eponymous Comedy Central series, THE JIM JEFFERIES SHOW debuted its third season on March 19, 2019 at 10:30pm ET / PT. As a strong voice in late night, the weekly series features Jim traveling across the globe to tackle the top news stories and controversial issues of the day. In addition to the series, Jim also continues to head up the weekly podcast series, ‘The Jim Jefferies Show Podcast', co-hosted by Forrest Shaw. The podcast, from Comedy Central's Podcast Network includes interviews and discussions with a variety of guests discussing current news and politics, as well as providing a more in-depth focus on the topics and opinions featured on the television series - with less filters.
In 2018, Jim starred in his third Netflix comedy special JIM JEFFERIES: THIS IS ME NOW. Performing at the Eventim Apollo in London, he unapologetically kept it real opening up the challenges of being a single father, as well as the weirdest gig he ever played. In 2017, he released his fifth major stand up special in seven years, FREEDUMB. The special was Jim's second to air on Netflix, and followed the huge success of the first, JIM JEFFERIES: BARE, in which he delivered a now iconic routine on guns and gun control in the United States.
In addition, Jim created, wrote, produced, and starred in the critically acclaimed FX series LEGIT, which ran for two seasons and has since gained a cult following. He has also appeared in the films KILLING HASSELHOFF and PUNCHING HENRY.
Jim currently lives in Los Angeles.
Good show. Jim was on stage for about 2 hours. Reasonably priced. If you are looking for a night out and having a few laughs, he will not disappoint you.
Great time! If you get the chance to go to his show, do it. Was a great time.
Show was fantastic, the meet and greet was super fun. The photo op was rough - bad lighting and blurry - but that's on the venue.
This was an absolute amazing show! Jim Jefferies never disappoints. We have seen every special, tv show etc he has ever done and this was our first time seeing him live. I felt bad for him & his openers, that almost everyone showed up pretty much as it was supposed to start, but they made it work. Staff were polite and patient getting everyone through.
Jim Jeffries was hilarious! Great comedian. Loved his show!
Jim was in Kingston last night. He is even better in person. I liked that he interacted with the crowd at the end. The part that was the funniest was about female homophobes. I won't say more. ;-)
Was supposed to start 9:30 pm and I cam from far away in a bus... Then we were lined up forever and were in around 1030 . Jim actually started closer to 1040 or so The show was good but this was not worth it, respect the people, we're not sheep to stand in queues that never move for 1.5-2 hours because of bad organization. Also we have personal schedules, if I knew the show would start 1045 I would've never attended given the long commute back... Disrespectful
Jim Jeffries is very funny and will entertain you from start to finish. 10/10 recommend his show. The venue on the other hand. Phew. At 7p I looked out into the crowd behind me and it was barely half full and the 7p show in Hamilton was sold out. As I had to use the restroom when I walked onto the concourse there were 2 doors max open with security wands, bag check and ticket scan. And hundreds maybe even a thousand ppl waiting to get in. This explains why the show started around 730-740p. *** I’ve seen Jim Jeffries so many times and his show never starts late. As a result Jim who is amazing at his craft did a full show that ran til about 915p. The only hitch is there was a second show at 930p! I had a meet and greet with Jin (so lucky) and by the time I met and left, it was 945p and about 45 people to meet him after me. Not one person was even in the venue yet. The crew was still Cleaning. Of course they have to clean but starting the show 40 minutes late due to slow venue entry REALLY jammed the whole night up. As I walked out of the first Ontario concert hall I literally saw a huge line of 2000 people at 945p waiting to enter the venue of a show hey had tickets for thats started at 930! What! Other than waiting 40 min for the show to start the first show was barely impacted as Jim did not cut his show short. However, Imagine your show starts at 930 and maybe you got there at 830 when doors opened for you or 9p. Never would you assume at 945p you’d be standing outside of the venue not even scanned in yet. Watching that disaster unfold would make me think twice about booking tics for a show that’s a second show of the night at this venue.
Sooooo funny! Worth seeing in person 10000% so many more jokes than you’d ever hear in a special.
Seeing Jim Jefferies was a breath of fresh air. He had my stomach hurting and the crowd roaring from laughter; from start to finish! My dad said it was one of the best father’s gift he was given. It was worth the wait after covid. Can’t wait to see you again Jim!
first off, Jim's show was great. so funny. However the venue was run so unprofessional. we waited for over an hour to get in, I get that there was an early show and they need time to reset but they only had 3 employees working the security wands. Once in as we started to head towards the line for a drink, the announcement came on with a 5 min warning for the show to begin ( they told us the show would not start until everyone was in and there was at least 500 people still outside in line) so we left the line and rushed to our seats only to see there was an opening act. nowhere did it say on our tickets there was an opening act. Once seated and his act was done another comedian came on stage, it would have been nice to know there was an opening act, let alone 2! Anyways, the long wait outside put us all in foul moods, let alone the fact we had to plead with our babysitter to stay for an hour and a half longer. I can't imagine if I was a relative of one of the opening act and missing their big show because of a poorly run venue with 3 people at the gates. what a joke.
Jim Jeffries knows how to bring the laughs. He pushes boundaries in a hilarious way.
Jim’s humour is priceless and hilarious . He’s a brilliant comedian. Highly recommended. However the venue ( Hamilton Concert Hall) is old and dirty, especially, the grounds where we had to wait for an 1hr 1/2. The city really needs clean and spruce it up.
The depiction of the fall of what it was to be Canadian was absolutely fantastic, and accurate!!! Covid has brought the germaphobic pussy out in us all! It was actually good to hear it from an Aussie! Haha! I would go and see you again Jim! Cheers, Kavanaugh
Amazing show, love Jim, and his opener’s were great as well. Only drawback was the venue was pretty hot, but acoustics were great.
Event was great Jim was funny as hell, venue was lacking a lot, parking garage arm wasn’t working and we waited for 35 minutes for them to come up with a solution, we went for a quick bite to eat got back at 6:15 and didn’t get into the venue til 7:10 which was so frustrating
Hilarious set this time around, had tears in my eyes at one point!
Jim Jefferies was hilarious! The only issue was that the line up was so long that we missed the first few minutes of the show. The organizers at FirstOntario Concert Hall should have opened the doors earlier. We didn't even have time to buy drinks!
Had tickets to the second show. Was supposed to start at 9:30pm and didn’t start until after 10:30pm. I look forward to the opening act and was really disappointed when they started the show before we got to our seats. Jim Jefferies also took the stage before everyone was seated. Should have a least given everyone a free drink or tshirt for missing some of the show. Tickets were not cheap.
Show was supposed to start at 930 with doors opening at 830. Doors opened at 1015. Jim didn’t take the stage until 1050pm. We had to leave half way through his set because we had a babysitter waiting at home for us. Terrible venue logistics and operations.
