BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Cut Copy began in Melbourne in 2001 as the solo project of Dan Whitford, a graphic design student with a budding interest in DJing and producing. Shortly after releasing his debut single "1981" Whitford added several members to the group, and In 2003 the new lineup performed their first show at Australia's Livid Festival. Their debut full-length Bright Like Neon Love dropped the following year, establishing them as a rising force in dance music and landing them on tour with big name acts like France Ferdinand and Bloc Party. Their upward momentum continued in 2008 with sophomore album In Ghost Colors, a disco-inspired collection of bangers that topped the Australian charts. Following the 2013 release of their fourth album Free Your Mind, Cut Copy delivered another stellar round of performances on the road, building anticipation among fans for their next tour dates.
