About

Cesar Millan is a world-renowned dog behaviour specialist, known for his uncanny ability to walk large packs of dogs at a time. Not only that but, from poodles to pit bulls, these now well-behaved canines have each been rehabilitated and rescued from a wide range of extreme behaviour issues - anything from insecurity to severe ‘red zone’ aggression!
Born and raised in Mexico, his blessed gift - a primal communion with nature -always came naturally to him, but his unique connection to canines became most noticeable around the age of 13. Everywhere Cesar went, there always seemed to be a swirl of dogs surrounding him. The locals gave him a nickname, ”El Perrero” - Spanish for “The Dogman”.
Cesar embraced this gift wholeheartedly, and he came to America to pursue his dream of becoming the greatest dog trainer in the world. He soon realized, though, that he was searching for something rather more profound than teaching dogs basic commands.
Heeding his grandfather’s advice to ‘never work against Mother Nature’, Cesar acquired yet another pack of dogs. He passionately studied books on dog psychology, but it was through his own observation, awareness, and firsthand experience that Cesar distilled his own formulas that clearly kept dogs balanced, calm, and submissive.

    Cesar Millan=Excellent Show! Location=Never Again!

    by andr0110 on 2013-01-03CE Centre - Ottawa

I was excited to be able to go and see this show with Cesar Millan; and it was a great informative and exciting show to see. However I was very upset prior to entering/viewing the show. Purchasing my tickets through National Geographic Presale, then going to the location to find out the display for which line I was to be lined up in was horrible. I had to go through 3 lines. Note: No signs present so this is my experience. First was standard line up, was in general tickets line = wrong line; was informed to go to opposite far side to 'claim' correct tickets. Go in line, then received new tickets (awhile ticket handler explained the issue of seating; however all tickets were just laid on the table in bunches or 2, 3, 4, etc...and they just handed me a set of two together tickets. I informed I hope this is where I was wanting to seat as I initially purchased my tickets in center column at mid/far back section. They informed me these tickets were in a even better/closer spot. After receiving these tickets I expected I was able to just walk in from there to low and behold I had to get into another lineup just to get those tickets 'checked-in' another separate line from the general line-up and the ticket exchange line-up. Upon FINALLY getting into the event zone, I go to my seating area to then again low and behold my tickets are no where near where I had my initial tickets purchased. I was on the farthest left column, luckily only 3-4 seats from the walking isle however just the same distance back in the column maybe a tad further than my initial purchased tickets. Also a side note to the seating area, Ottawa Convention Center is not a very good location for this or any type of show that involves 'seating style'. The chairs were standard 'hall or reception' chairs, too close together to one another and not all the same. Seems like luxury padded chairs from the first 60% of rows, then plastic 'dinky' fold-up chairs for the back 40%. They were not set in good distance from other people attending so space was tight (even for myself I'm a average/standard size person). Most people slid/moved their chairs towards the walking isles for more space which was a annoyance and unsafe.

Cesar Millan in Ottawa was fantastic!!

by Doggirlmom on 2012-12-05CE Centre - Ottawa

Cesar delivered his message in an upbeat and engaging manner. What he said made sense and he has proven himself for years. What he did on stage was awe inspiring. I can only hope that dog owners out there were listening!

    Cesar Millan - Simply Amazing

by doglove on 2012-12-03CE Centre - Ottawa

This is my 2nd time seeing Cesar Millan in Ottawa. I wanted to see him this second time because he's a good speaker. He gets his message across. What I didn't expect was to walk away from this conference with new information. I thought I heard it all before. Four days after this seminar, I do see a change in my dog's behavior because I've now understood what it means to be in the present and be calm. I'm enjoying my dog more which in turn, I hope, means my dog is more balance and happy.

    Cesar Millan, Ottawa

    by ringer982006 on 2012-12-02CE Centre - Ottawa

Excellent speaker. Humorous and knowledgable. The audience was quiet but by looking around you could see that they were impressed by him. Knowing his son is following in his paw steps is great too.

Very good show. Informative, well done. The right amount of time, and good information for the audience. A good show for the venue.

    Very entertaining!

by DenRac on 2012-12-01CE Centre - Ottawa

Even if you aren't a dog person you will love this show. It was very funny and entertaining. Cesar has great stage presence and interacts very naturally with the audience. Do not expect in depth dog training techniques but do expect a few thought provoking insights into the dog's world.

Great Show just a lack of information

by Jakeduke on 2012-12-01CE Centre - Ottawa

This was a great show but I had a few issues and they were as follows 1) We bought VIP tickets for 146.58 but did not get any type of information on how the event would run until we arrived at the event even after I tried to send e-mails to get information. 2) We were suppose to be able to ask question but we than find out at the end that they will chose at random and ask and answer as many as possible in 30 minutes and Cesar will not sign autographs or take photos at the end of the question answer session. This was not what I would have expected for 147.00. I felt you should have than at least read over all the question first and group than to try and answer as many concerns as possible. 3) I did not feel like a VIP but I paid the price 4) When you gave us all the question sheet to fill out it would have bin nice to have a pencil to fill out the question not all of us come with a pen in hand. 5) What was up with no PHOTO'S allowed that was just not right
