I've been to few Pan Am events but this handball game was the best. Non-stop action with suspense to the last second. If there is going to be another handball in GTA, I am definitely going. ...especially if there are Brazilian fans there too.
Wonderful event, never watched handball and amazed at how physical the sport is. My family of 4 had a great time and enjoy viewing a new sport and being part of a gold and bronze medal game. The recommendation I would have is to have the announcer explain situations on the court that occurred. A little more commentary would of been helpful. Appreciated that transportation was included with the ticket purchase, this made traveling much easier not worrying about additional costs. Very well organized
The event was so great that I need to search for new synonyms to the word "wonderful". I appreciate the sport committee that prepared the celebration of friendship, sportsmanship, and cooperation in Toronto. Go Canada go!!!
- if you want to see fast, exciting, lots of body contact, non-stop games - then handball should be your choice
The event was poorly organized. We didn't know where to go . Ushers were useless. We walked so far to get to event - unacceptable and ridiculous. Why make people basically walk in circles due to senseless barricades? We decided not to attend any more events due to this bad experience. A lot of money to spend on an event - annoyed before event started. The organizers have no idea of how to offer good customer service. Instead of providing useful ushers, they instead decided to have ushers obnoxiously yelling 'isn't this so much fun!'.
We were there last Saturday all the 5 members of my family, including my 4 year old. The game between Argentina and Cuba was awesome! They scored one team following the other one, it was so exciting to be there. The only annoying thing was a Cuban fan making a lot but a lot of noise cheering for her team, a lot of people were turning their heads as a complaint, but she didn't stop. I got a headache. Even when Argentina lost that game they played awesome and they are playing tonight for the GOLD MEDAL. My Mexican team is playing tonight for the BRONZE MEDAL. We can't miss this oportunity. Let's go MEXICO! Let's go Argentina!! You are amazing!
We have never watched handball but wanted to watch this sport at PanAm games, to cheer on Canada and next game's favourite pick. My child and I enjoyed this experience very mcuh
Having only seen handball on television before it was quite an experience to see live. Hoping we get to see more handball in Canada! Now, the Pan AM games organizers could have done a better job on two fronts: 1) the break between the break between the matches is an hour. And, one cannot leave the venue. That is a long time to do nothing in a pretty so so venue. Perhaps you could grab a bit or a beer, but...2) The concessions were simply overwhelmed. This was similar at other events earlier in the Games. No excuses by this point. One place serving beer in the entire venue with a 30 minute plus line?? Food choices were so so...and also suffered from long lines. But, the sports were great!

the game itself was awesome. getting to the event was another story. we took a cab and had to be dropped off outside the direct energy centre. we were then instructed to walk for 25 minutes around the yellow gates which took us to pan am park. if they let us in the normal way it would of been a 2 minute walk. i think this was absolutely ridiculous. it was to make sure everyone partook in the pan am park, but i believe people would of done this regardless of the silly walking route. we arrived to the event sweaty, tired and unhappy. i am really disappointed with how the "arriving to the event" turned out.
