Pan Am Weightlifting Tickets

The athletes are incredible. The team and spectator support was wonderful to see.

When my daughter suggested we get tickets to the Pan Am games at the Oshawa location I told her she was nuts. All I could think about was traffic problems, parking problems and sooooooooo many people and the cost I am happy to report I was wrong !!! It was easy to get to, no parking problems and it was so well organised you didn't even notice how many people there were. The tickets were 50.00 and the seats were fantastic They had tons of volunteers and paid people to direct you. The event itself was really interesting. I learned if a lifter needed more time between lifts they increase the weight so the next person with the least amount of weight goes first. The whole thing was so exciting especially when we had a Canadian in the last round I found the breaks between rounds worked out well because it gave you a chance to get something to eat and walk around so your bum got a break. I didn't care for the "no in and out" policy as I had to get someone to go to my house and walk the dog. I'm not sure why they have that policy. There was lots of things to eat and drink from the stands and of course Prospects restaurant was doing a brisk business. I highly recommend if you ever get a chance to go to any of the events..........do it !! It's a chance of a lifetime

Very well organized. Event personnel were very efficient and pleasant. I appreciated the organizers' effort to ensure security at the event. There was a strong police presence and they appeared determined to maintain order. Overall, it was a relaxed and enjoyable day. My wife and I are happy we went. Incidentally, being able to go there via Go Bus was an added bonus. It was very convenient, helped me save on gas and parking, and reduced the amount of traffic near the event.
