BRITNEY SPEARS IN CONCERT:
Critics have hailed global superstar and multi-platinum artist Britney Spears' spectacular Las Vegas residency show Piece of Me at The AXIS at Planet Hollywood as one of the best productions to hit the strip in years. Britney's skills are on full display as she and a crew of fierce backup dancers strut their stuff amid some of the most dazzling sets in Sin City. Voted “Best Show” and “Best Bachelorette Party” in the 2015 Best of Las Vegas poll, the show features the biggest dance hits and emotional ballads from Spears’ fireworks-filled career and has all the costume changes you’d expect from one of the country’s premier pop divas. From opening number “Work B*tch” and mid-set favorites like “…Baby One More Time” to epic closer “Till the World Ends”, Spears and Piece of Me deliver a nonstop party train of iconic pop jams, too-hot-to-handle fashions, and razor-sharp dance moves that leave no doubt that she remains at the top of her game.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Born in Mississippi and raised in Louisiana, Britney Jean Spears knew she wanted to be an entertainer from an early age. Childhood vocal and dance lessons gave way to Star Search and a brief stint on the ‘90s revival of The Mickey Mouse Club, and in 1997 she was signed to Jive Records after impressing execs with a performance of Whitney Houston’s “I Have Nothing”. Her 1999 debut album …Baby One More Time was an immediate success, landing at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and going on to become the top-selling album of all time by a teenage solo artist. After following up in 2000 with the aptly titled Oops!...I Did It Again – which also peaked at No. 1 – Britney’s blitz continued with a string of successful tours and albums including the self-titled album Britney (2001) and In the Zone (2003), which earned her a Best Dance Recording Grammy for hit single “Toxic.” Britney struggled with personal issues in the mid-‘00s, but by 2008 she was back on top with her sixth album Circus, a worldwide No. 1 that earned her a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest female artist to have five albums debut at No. 1. Following 2011’s massively successful Femme Fatale and “Scream & Shout”, her platinum-selling collaboration with will.i.am, the ever-provocative Britney released “Work Bitch” in September 2013 as the lead single from her upcoming album Britney Jean. The album’s release coincided with the kick-off of Piece of Me, her two-year Las Vegas residency at the Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. Due to the success of the show, Britney announced in late 2015 that she was extending the residency for another two years – welcome news to fans around the world hoping for a chance to experience the excitement of Britney in Sin City.
Does all her hits, super cute personality, fun to watch
She’s not perfect; she doesn’t really sing much and she doesn’t really interact with the crowd. That said, she brings tons of energy the entire set and you can’t help but dance and scream and jump around the entire time. It’s impossible to go to a Britney Spears show and not have an absolute blast.
The show is a small version of the one in Vegas. The meet and greet is simply a hi take a pic and goodbye. I would avoid it.
The show was great, included so many hits. I wouldn't have minded a few acoustic/ stripped down songs, one of my favorites is "Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman", but the dancers, sets, costumes, stage and sound were all fabulous.
Even if you aren't a fan of her music I belive that you would enjoy this show. The dancing was great!
The concert itself was absolutely amazing. There is not a bad seat in the house. The concert is very high energy so a lot of the time is spent standing but you will not be disappointed. Worth every penny.
Would not recommend this. No energy , same dance moves over and over. Didn't really interact with the crowd.
This was such an amazing show! Second time going and both nights were amazing! Her set list was so good! All the classics with a nice amount of new ones! If you're a Britney fan you must go see this show!!!!!!!
My wife and I had GA floor tickets...we lined up a little early and made it to the front of the stage. Britney and her dancers were in front of us, beside us and behind us, what a great stage show. The lights, lasers, sound, dancing, music...we felt like we were in one huge dance party, and over a week later we still can't get the songs and images out of our heads. We've =been big fans of her music (and Max Martin) and her performances/style since 1999 and feel lucky to have seen her in Vegas. We see a lot of reviews that complain of her lip syncing, she doesn't hide that fact or try to fool anyone; understand that her show is a Vegas production with elaborate sets and professional dancing. Her energy kept the crowd ignited and we do not regret the dance party we had on the floor. 5 goosepimples out of 5.
I have seen many Britney shows, but seeing her in Las Vegas was the ultimate experience. The show was SO amazing!!! Britney looked incredible! She sang all her big hits (and she's got a lot). It was so much fun, definitely a must see!
