    Room for improvement

    by Kelsey on 2023-08-01

The show was ok..the sound quality could have been better for those who were sitting in the stands. It would have also been better if there was no intermission as the show was only slated to be an hour long and the intermission just made a lot of kids very antsy and restless by the time it started again. We saw lots of people leave before it finished. We were also a bit disappointed that many of the characters had stage handlers behind them that were very distracting..it would have been better if they were all people in costume, like the adult characters.

    On the Fence

    by Munga on 2023-08-01

I thought the venue itself was good - organized with very friendly and helpful staff BUT… I foolishly bought floor seats. We were 4 rows back from the stage. When buying the tickets, I didn’t take into account that my 4 1/2 year old granddaughter would be trying to see over and around other adults. She tried sitting on my lap but that didn’t help because, of course, all of the little ones were sitting or standing on the accompanying adult’s lap. I think for kids shows, the floor seats (section) should be slightly tiered. The show started late, which is not great when you are catering to hundreds of impatient children. After 25 minutes or so of show, the cast took an approximate 15 minute break with no other source of entertainment for the kids. Again, not great with anxious children. By the time the second half started, my granddaughter wanted to go home. We ended up leaving 2 minutes into the second half of the show - she was over it. Overall, it was disappointing.

    Peppa Pig

    by Ranjitha on 2023-08-01

I liked Peppa Pig show I went to see with my family. The only issue was the seats that were suggested as best sests were blocking part of the stage. Please in the future block off seats you cannot see the whole screen or let the computer know in advance so there won't be any frustration.

Horrible venue, production quality was ok

    by Eves on 2023-08-01

The line up/process to even get into the show (ticket scanners), resources, security, was a complete disaster. Stood outside the venue in the rain with my two young kids. Ya never again with this venue. Peppa Pig production quality was okay but definitely not worth what we paid. We missed about 20 mins of the show thanks to that horrible entry at Paramount Fine Foods (the old Hershey Centre).

    Just ok

    by SB on 2023-08-01

Not what we expected. I understand the theory behind the costumes but think it would have been better with just actors in costumes. And with Peppa leading the show. I would not go to anything like this again.

    Could have been better

    by Dina on 2023-08-01

The place needed to be darker so the attention was more focused on the show and not the 50 kids running around everywhere and at any given moment. The audio also was awful as we could barely hear the show through the kids making all the noise. Not a great experience and especially for the cost of the event

    Low budget performance

    by Lindsay on 2023-08-01

My 4 year old noticed the many flaws in the performance. They weren't singing the true Peppa pig songs, just their rendition. The audio wasn't loud enough for where we were sitting. You could just hear the air conditioning unit above us. For example. Daddy pig never drives the bus, it is always Mrs.rabbit. Even the back ground was low budget. Not many props were used. The main character... the live person was unnecessary. For concession... $50 for a miniature stuffed dinosaur is horrendous. Parking was great. Location was easy to get to. For the amount of the tickets the show should have been much better. Very disappointed

    Very disappointing

    by Kai on 2023-08-01

It must have been one of the worst “musicals” i have ever been to. First the sound was so bad you can hardly understand anything. My kids were probably interested for around 5 minutes and wanted to leave after that, similar to most kids in the area where we were sitting. The story doesn’t really fit to peppa with a fictive character called Daisy. The songs were not known to the kids (or sound was bad, not even sure). Most characters were moved by people in black dresses behind them - that totally destroyed it for my kids. Compared to the Paw Patrol show about a month ago, this was shockingly bad!

    Far too loud

    by Laura on 2023-07-31

I did enjoy the Peppa the pig show but it was far too loud. Luckily I had headphones for my daughter but my husband and I both found it to be really loud.

My girls loved it. Cute and fun

    by Ange on 2023-07-31

We loved the show. My 2 year old remained engaged and loved every second. My 5 year old enjoyed it as well. It was a short show so the 20 min intermission seemed unnecessary but regardless we had a wonderful time.

    Hearing damage for kids?! Woot

    by Tot mom on 2023-07-31

Not great! The plot was so thin (fine, it's for toddlers, not expecting much), the songs they picked were weak (there are so many GREAT songs to choose from and they only picked one of their popular songs?! WTF?!), but the worst was the crazy volume! This event is for TODDLERS! I shouldn't need to pack ear protection for the whole family when I'm going to a Peppa pig play. Come on! Families were leaving because it was so loud, and my kids had their hands over their ears. My ears were ringing for 2 days after. Totally unnecessary. It was so loud we couldn't barely concentrate on what was on stage (though it wasn't thrilling either). I feel badly for subjecting my kids to that. :( Be prepared for insanely priced toys, but of course all the kids want them ($50 for a 10"plush dinosaur, $35 for a plastic peppa light spinner). Would not have gotten in the toy line if I'd had any idea they would be so pricey. All in all I don't think it was worth it unfortunately. Oh--and they advertise 60 min, but it is 90. So plan for that. ;) Bring ear muffs & have fun! :P

    Long show for kids

    by Harjeet on 2023-07-31

The show was entertaining and my 4yr old loved it. She was getting cranky toward the end though. My 1yr old was having a hard time sitting still. I don't know that we were made aware of intervals at the start of the show so was hard to plan the kids washroom breaks etc. When the interval was introduced we were not told how long it would be either. I think the show could have been better with more engagement from the audience. Letting a kid come on stage to talk to Peppa perhaps? Or even the possibility for meet and greet after for some children. A contest with the kids perhaps? Overall the show was great to watch as an adult but too long for children and not engaging enough.

    Terrible!

    by R. S. on 2023-07-29

Nothing spectacular. Audience lost interest in 15 mins. Visually not good. Content not good. The venue was very inconvenient they blocked all exits only two ways to get out. It was a nightmare getting out of there. PLease read the review before purchasing

    Disappointed

    by Ashley on 2023-01-03

People standing behind the characters were so visible that it was almost ridiculous. No efforts were put on creating the stage and overall it was a cheaply made show. My six-year-old were so bored and had hard time sitting through the show as it was such childish and poor storyline show. Recommend for only 3 year and under. Intermission was totally unnecessary but I guess it had to be there to sell more goodies.

The meet and greet was not good

by Sam on 2022-12-20Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The meet and greet was not good. It was not as per the amount charged. They clicked the picture from my personal phone and no kid was given a chance to even stand near peppa. The muddy puddle was not at all look like muddy puddle. Even the concert, if they would have used cHaracters like mummy pig and peppa pig rather then the puppets, the show would have been more interesting to watch. No complaints on that as my kid enjoyed the concert.

    Very Disappointing

by Wade on 2022-12-10Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The show was performers standing behind the characters and moving them around. It was totally visible to the kids we are asking us parents why. Came across as totally fake and unreal instead of believable for the children. The children did not believe is was actually Peppa Pig, George, etc.

    A 2 years olds dream

    by L. B. on 2022-12-10

My daughter had a blast yelling and clapping with all the kids. It was fun to see her having a great time. The sound was a little of in the first half. Sounded more clear in the second. It’s definitely for littler kids.

Both my grandchildren loved the show.

by Grandma on 2022-12-10Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I enjoyed watching the children exclaiming clapping and dancing in the aisles and in front of the stage.

The shows could have been done in a higher level

by Mohammad on 2022-12-10Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I intend to see a better show, it was not as professional as it should be. The sound quality was not good at all, I have been in the same theatre saloon before with a good sound, but this time the narrations of the characters could not be hear well enough.
