Exceptionally talented artists, beautiful stage
National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa
We thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the performance and performers. It was very well planned and a wonderful tribute to Buffy Sainte Marie. We were however very disappointed that the cameramen stood directly in front of us, throughout the show, moving back and foreword, constantly blocking our view, oblivious to the paying audience.

This was the best show I have seen in a long time! We have such a treasure in our Indigenous artists.

Nice show, poor ending
National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa
I wish I could remember, at the time I bought tickets, the exact way the show was marketed. I'd been out of the province for a couple of months, and when I arrived at the show I realized it was a tribute, not a Buffy concert. Regardless of my expectations, the single group number by Buffy was a bit of a letdown. But, the audience stood, cheered and clamored for an encore for a considerable time - perhaps exactly because Buffy took so little time directly with them - and there was none forthcoming; the lights were turned up and that was it. This I felt to be disrespectful to a devoted fan base.

Buffy and Company - wow!
National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa
This was amazing in every way. The sound in Southham Hall is excellent, as is the view from anywhere you sit. My only annoyance was that we were at a high level and the lights were constantly blasting us in the eyes. The timing of the entire performance was impressive. The energy in the hall - well, words just can't describe that accurately, but it was transcendent. Of note: When Jeremy Dutcher first performed on the piano, from our vantage point, we could see everyone below us moving tears from their eyes. Very powerful. Outstanding performances from all.

It was great fantastic show

We had balcony seats. Section B and the spot lights were in our line vision, making it very difficult to see the stage. Many people where in the same position. Took away the enjoyment of the concert.

Buffy commands the presence of the crowd and is an engaging storyteller/performer. I can't wait to see her again!

An amazing evening with the amazing Buffy Sainte-Marie.

A wonderful evening with an amazing artist. We were overwhelmed that she did all our favourite songs from her immense repertoire. Her energy, stamina and social conscience humbled us. The beautiful harmony and interaction with her band was amazing. An amazing evening at the NAC!

A legend did not disappoint
National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa
Bufffy and all her musicians were in fine form. Sound production left a lot to be desired though. All we heard was guitar player and Buffy's beautiful voice. We have seen other acts at the NAC and were very impressed. This mix, not so much..

Great performance, horrible sound
National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa
Buffy is great, no question, and the band was good too. But the sound in the NAC Southam Hall was a complete disaster. Maybe it was ok at the sound booth, but in our (expensive) seats close to the front there was so much slap echo coming off the back of the hall that everything was muddled into its own echo. We couldn't make out the lyrics or even her talking, much of the time. Nice reverb for an orchestra perhaps but terrible for pop music with their huge hanging speaker arrays on either side of the stage. Ruined the experience.
