Jeff Lynne's ELO at XCell Energy Centre St Paul Minnesota

by Rob C on 2019-07-28Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

Fabulous show, great sound, just as good as the show at Hyde Park, and a well rehearsed group backing Jeff. Light show and visuals were fabulous as well. Even Jeff himself commented "fantastic" after (I believe) Turn To Stone... Wish our seats were closer(they weren't bad) but another 300 ft closer to the stage would have been better. If you don't like standing (& everyone in our section did at the beginning and through all the big hits did...) you might have had a blocked view... there was 2 couples in front of us (in their mid-late 70s i guess) that the gents just sat during these times, as it was obviously too difficult to stand for so long... that was the only negative about our end section seats... but oh well... Well worth the 7hr drive from WPG Canada... hey Jeff, if you are adding more shows, how about a western Canada run?

    Worth the expense and travel

by Major ELO Fan on 2019-07-28Xcel Energy Center - Saint Paul

True to the history of the band. Played the hits and threw in the hit from the traveling Wilbury’s. Another item crossed off the bucket list.

    AMAZING!!!

    by AC on 2019-07-28

If you have the ability and opportunity to go, please go. It was fantastic! Jeff Lynne’s ELO performance was perfection. It is all of the songs you remember sound for sound, but better. So glad we went, and we weren’t even die hard ELO fans... at least we weren’t until now.

    An extraordinary, wonderful concert.

    by M. on 2019-07-26Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

It was my second time since last year attending Jeff Lynne's ELO. Loved every second of that. Amazing performance, fantastic performers and of course Jeff Lynne himself who is the genius behind all that. If you love an excellent music concert, this is a must see.

    Great concert!

by smitty on 2019-07-26Van Andel Arena - Grand Rapids

Fantastic concert- Jeff & the ELO orchestra were excellent-light show & effects were awesome-acoustics & sound were great-Only complaint is that they didn't play " Rock & Roll is King" after the"Roll Over Beethoven" encore . That would have been the icing on the cake !

    Another great ELO show

    by J. W. on 2019-07-25Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

Went to last years show in Toronto which was fantatstic. This show was even better. We were allot closer which surely increased the experience. I kinda figured Harrison would come out and sign Handle me with care with ELO which was awesome. If Jeff's ELO arrives here next year WE will be going !!

    ELO and Dhani Harrison

by GPastyr on 2019-07-23Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

ELO was excellent. I had a great view of their light show. Dhani Harrison was underwhelming. His music did not resonate with me.

    E.L.O. didn't miss a beat!

    by L. C. on 2019-07-23Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

The last time I had been to an E.L.O. concert was shortly after the release of their double-album Out of the Blue in the late seventies. The performance in 2019 didn't disappoint because they played most of the songs that they had played forty years before...meaning they didn't miss any of the mandatory hits. The addition of back-up singers and a mini-orchestra also added to the sonic perfection that E.L.O. is known for. My expectation when I attend a concert is that the band will play as close to the record as possible, and E.L.O. did this without issue. I closed my eyes for a few seconds during the playing of Can't Get It Out Of My Head and it felt like I was listening to the actual recording. One of the biggest pleasant surprises of the concert was opening act Dhani Harrison. I must admit that I had never even heard any of his material, and was expecting a Julian Lennon type derivative duplication of what his father had done a generation ago. Dhani actually has a sound that is similar to A Perfect Circle and is totally different than anything George ever wrote or released, and the entire band was amazing. Well Done. I would rate the concert a 10 out of 10 in every category. Jeff Lynne is truly one of the best.

    PHENOMENAL FROM START TO FINISH

by LICORICE1969 on 2019-07-23Little Caesars Arena - Detroit

Saw Jeff Lynne's ELO at Little Caesars Arena, Detroit on July 20th. The show was AMAZING, great sound, incredible light show, and Jeff's voice was still great after all these years. His backing band was on point with every song, if you closed your eyes (which you would NOT want to do, because the lights and displays were great - rivalling a TSO production!!!!) you'd think you were listening to the studio version of many songs. Dhani Harrison's opening act was a bit 'meh', not my taste ... but he joined the band for a Travelling Wilbury's song, which was a great bonus. All in all, definitely on my Top 5 of concerts, I'd go again in a heartbeat!!!

It was one of the best concerts I have EVER attended. The sound/music was epic - sounding as good now as it was then! The light displays were excellently choreographed.

Felt like I travelled back in time

    by A. S. on 2019-07-22Scotiabank Arena - Toronto

I saw ELO on July 19, 1978 at the CNE stadium. The only item missing was the actual spaceship. The music was great, the light show was superb, the seats were even comfortable. I took my adult son, who I caught signing along also. I would definitely go to another one of their concerts. The staff at the ScotiaBank Arena were also top notch. I was walking with a cane and they went out of their way to accommodate me. I wasn't fond of Dhani Harrison music as the opening act, but I did enjoy the Handle With Care with ELO, that was great.
