Well maybe it’s because I don’t go to a lot of concerts but I was disappointed by the balancing of the sound. The volume of the mics for both Danhi Harrison and Jeff Lynne was poor. A good portion of the time their lyrics were over powered by everything else and when they spoke great parts of what they said were unintelligible (not because they have accents). The two video screens on the side were too far to to sides. In section 107 row 10 and the screen was behind my left shoulder and the other blocked by apparatus. The positioning of the camera for both lead singers ment that when they were featured on the screens the rather large mics they were singing into blocked the bottom half of their face. A different angle would have been better for the viewers. ELO’s light show was impressive even if the music was tired.
The orchestra members were all the same as the video we saw on line of ELO at Whimbley Stadium in 2017. Incredibly good sound
One of the best concerts I’ve ever seen. Loved the music and light show. Well worth the money hands down.
Seating was great! Sound was great! Show was amazing! 2 thumbs down for the Dhani Harrison band! They gave both of us a headache!
Love ELO, but what was definitely lacking is Jeff’s connection with the audience. It’s not just standing on stage and singing, we expect more, talk to us a bit, say something more than good evening!
ELO it was one of the best shows I’ve seen! They were AWESOME!!! Very underrated bands in history. Listened to them as a teen, way back but I have a greater appreciation. The light show and sound was top notch. Not thrilled with the opening band, very dark music and way too long. Pitfall , between bands way too long and wasn’t announced as an intermission. Encore should of been 2 songs and missed hearing a # tune “ Strange Magic” that was the only disappointment. Would see them again! Hands down FABULOUS!!!!
One of the greats of our time that we were able to see. He is all about the music!
Jeff Lynn performed very well, setlist did not include 80's but it was good enough.
Jeff Lynn’s ELO must have found a time loop, they are excellent and haven’t a single flaw in their voices. I have seen many concerts over the years and this just takes it all hands down. I can only say that those of us that were their witnessed a remarkable show and those who wasn’t, well if you ever get a chance do yourself a large favour and go. We actually flew a 4 hour flight just to see it and fly back the next morning, and yes we would definitely do it all over again!
Possibly the best concert I have ever been to. Hope they come back next year.
Absolutely wonderful. The concert was flawless. ELO rocks. The sound, visual effects, all the songs... everything was excellent and would see them again.
Absolutely fantastic show, great band, perfect execution of his great catalog of hits. Handle With Care with Dhani Harrison topped off this amazing show. Well done!
We had a great time. The ELO were really amazing, harmoneous and progessional. Most of their many great hits were performed in this concert. Jeff Lynne is a top super musician. The laser light effects added much to the musical experience. FATNTASTIC !
I absolutely loved the concert. First, I brought my Dad and my son - we were three generations of ELO fans on the concert! They were blown away by the gorgeous music, indescribable light show and the overall experience. The music wasn't too loud for the kid, it was perfectly tuned to show all the beauty of ELO compositions. The band played for 1.5 hours without any breaks, the concert started right on time as advertised (9:15pm) and everything else was perfect. The public was younger that in 2018, so soon enough most of people were standing on their feet and singing and dancing along. It was all impressive and just perfect. Thank you ELO, JEff Lynne and Scotiabank Arena for this amazing night!
Great night out to see ELO! Great experience, from the friendly concert goers, and arena staff. My husband saw ELO in ‘78 in the UK and overall is more familiar with their music, but I had a great time too. The sound was fantastic and overall really enjoyed the show. It would be great if the GO train could put on extra cars for these events so travelers don’t have to stand all the way to Oakville and beyond, but not sure concert organizers can do anything about that. Here’s hoping!
We had a great time rocking and bopping in our seats at the Toronto Jeff Lynne's ELO concert. It's cool to see how this music all comes together on stage, not many band members, but they made such big music, graphics and laser light effects. ELO music played in our heads for a long time back in the day and we stepped back into those shoes to the undeniably excellent ELO sounds on July 18. Thank you Jeff Lynne and ELO band members, we both felt like teenagers again!
loved the orchestra and back up singers. Light show was amazing. Jeff Lynnes voice is incredible. Sounds exactly how I remembered them as a child. One of my Favourite bands of all time. Brought tears to my eyes. Still ringing in my ears 3 days later. LOVED IT!!
Dhani Harrison was a good open. The Traveling Wilburys song was great. ELO sounded excellent. Played all their classic songs. Started on time which was nice. Got a notice before the concert with an agenda which was excellent. Could have been a bit louder. Overall very good.
Scotiabank arena has an excellent sound system. Saw Jeff Lynne last year and it was so good we went again this year! The best concert I’ve been to!
