Great show that confirms Raffi's enduring talent as an artist.

    Simply Raffi

by Woollywoo on 2017-10-04National Arts Centre / Centre national des Arts - Ottawa

Raffi is funny and has a great voice! Sharing his and other classic children's songs was nice, but it was too simple. The stage was set with a Persian style rug and a microphone. It would have been a better and more memorable event if he had at least a guest singer and some other instrumentalists. I recommend he play more upbeat songs because halfway through the 1 hour show children were falling asleep. Also, the cost of the tickets was far too expensive $20 would have been better than $40.

    Raffi always amazing

by Neena on 2016-11-09Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

My daughter will soon be turning 39. She grew up loving Raffi and now her two children love him as well. The seats were awesome, and the meet and greet part of the show was fantastic. The kids were running around and the youngest was crying until Raffi took her in his arms and she immediately stopped. She was mesmerized and so was her Mummy. Thank you

    Raffi was Great!

by Julie1234 on 2016-11-09Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Great Show. I really liked that there was no intermission. I think it would have been hard to keep the kids behaving and keep their attention if it had gone any longer. The show was just over an hour, perfect length. I would recommend for age 3-4. Loved the classics. My 5 year old found it boring, my 3 year old loved it. But, I loved it and I'm an adult, so I'm not sure I would say that the show was too young for a 5 year old. But, she found it too boring and babyish. Hamilton Place is such a great venue.

    Raffi - Average

by Gghthes on 2016-11-09Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

Raffi's performance was average. The audience was full of children who wanted to sing along and dance but there were too many slow songs that the children didn't really now. Raffi has so many songs he could have sang that would have engaged the children eg. Corner Master's Store that were not sang at the concert. The adults were there for the children so he should have sang songs that the young ones could engage with. My grandchildren wanted to leave about 3/4 of the way through the show as well as other children around us.

    Boring

by blooper on 2016-10-25Clarke Theatre Foundation - Mission

It was very expensive for the amount of time of the concert. Raffi was not able to engage the children like he did 30 years ago. At one point he did stand up and engage the kids with getting them to touch their toes and elbows etc. But this was not long enough. He played and sang some songs that he totally lost interest of the children. Many of the children were around the age of 2 and 3 and he just could not keep the children engaged with him. At $161 for just over 1 hour was just not worth the effort to go. No wonder half the seats were empty.I think Raffia is too told to enjoy engaging the kids like he used to do. He was bored and boring.

    Raffi was a disappointment

by Disappointed366 on 2016-10-25Clarke Theatre Foundation - Mission

Raffi seemed to forget that he is a children's artist and spent too much time talking to the adults about his past. He would play a lively song that would engage the kids and get them singing and dancing in their seats.....and then he would either play a slow song or start talking. The result was that he would lose the attention of the children. I took seven family members to the whew - a big expense and a bigger disappointment.

    by Sarah08 on 2016-04-26Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Raffi put on a great show for kids of all ages! Singing favourites that he has written over the past 40 years, he had the entire audience singing and clapping. A great show for families!

    Love Raffi!

by Zoewy on 2015-05-14Roy Thomson Hall - Toronto

I grew up with Raffi, have his albums & am now sharing his music with my kids. He's very personable & great with the kids without being too silly like some children entertainers can be. He is terrific in concert. I took my son to see him at Roy Thomson Hall & now I will be taking my daughter to Hamilton Place. Can't wait to see you again Raffi!

    Raffi rocks!

by Dorothee on 2014-06-06Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

This was our second Raffi concert and we came with our 4 and 2 year old daughters. They very much enjoyed it and Raffi was really awesome! He still got it after all these years! ;o) The only thing I would add is that considering the audience an early morning performance (e.g. 10am) would be way more suitable. One could tell that it was nap time for most kids. The small guys among the audience would then last a full hour for sure! This is not meant as criticism but constructive feedback ;o)

    A Must See

by Rubia on 2014-05-29Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Raffi made the experience of hearing his music live and amazing one. He sang to the children and also included the adults in on the music as well. Raffi developed a new verse for us Baluga Grads as we all have grown up sharing his music with our children or in my case children I work with.

    Raffi-engaging kids

by GranJ on 2014-05-28Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

This concert was for children, Mums and Dads and Grandparents. Something for everyone. How wonderful to sing along and hear everyone of all ages belting it out. Little kids were delighted and it was delightful to see their enthusiasm. Raffi's concerts are legendary and I, and of course the grandkids, are looking forward to the next one!

Raffi a bit pricey for what we got.

by MomofP on 2014-05-27Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

My husband and I took our 5 and 2 year old to Raffi and were so excited to finally see him live as we never had as kids. I know Raffi is known for the simplicity in the production value of his shows, but for near $50 a ticket ($200 for our family of 4), he played the classics for an hour, went off and came back for a 2 or 3 song encore. We were out of there in under 90 mins. No screens, no production value, and not much at all from his new cd that was for sale out front. Odd. I left feeling like it was a $25 or $30 show, but certainly not $50 a head, even for the 2 year old that missed most of it. Raffi's great, but this one was overpriced for what we got.

    raffi!!

by ang222 on 2014-05-27Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The show was good... was not impressed I had to pay for my 2 month old, as I can't leave him with anyone yet. I understand he is a child but would like to see an under six months old free or a 15 dollar admin charge instead of full price! Not impressed!

    Raffi was great fun!

by AnnaBanana29 on 2014-05-27Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

My 3 year old and I had a great time at the Raffi concert. It was a pleasure to hear her favourite songs and sing along. My only issue was that the concert started at 2 PM, which is smack in the middle of a lot of kids naps, so there were lots of kids asleep or restless because they were in need of a nap. It would be better to have a kid's music concert not smack in the middle of prime nap time. I felt bad for the little ones who missed the whole thing while asleep in their parent's arms.
