1 simple word......UNBELIEVEABLE!! I am currently trying to fit another show into my budget. Hope I can make another show. Best I've ever seen.
David Gilmour was at his finest once again. Having last seen him last in 1975 with Pink Floyd I almost forgot how amazing a performer he is. His guitar talks to you. Doing a range of old Floyd Songs from Umma Gumma to The Wall he still has it! The stage and lighting made it especially memorable. A must see if he comes back!
We enjoyed since we got our Rattle that Lock CDs and then this amazing concert. Setlist, David's musicians and singers, and the best guitar filling up our senses.
Right from the moment the show started my daughter and i Hugged and she was crying and me too….she was so happy and thats the power of music….like she said speechless Thank you David Gilmour for making this unforgettable moment in time to make a disabled father and the closeness with my daughter. Thank you David …Indeed
I am a great classic rock music fan and never miss a good show. David Gilmour show was unforgettable, the best show I have ever seen. The music was played with a computer precision and a DVD sound quality. Before show I was thinking that Gilmour, considering his age probably needs some playback help or a guitar player in the background. I was wrong, Gilmour was just magnificent. What a voice and what a play. Wow!!!! I just couldn't understand the people walking around all the time. I was wondering, where the hell they go all the time. There were missing the history by going to grab a beer!! Insane!!
First time watching David Gilmour live concert and he did not disappoint. Gilmour performed the new album and many of Pink Floyds old everybody's favourite songs, finishing with comfortably numb. Absolutely amazing concert. Our seats were in 307 section and we found that sound there wasn't great, it was a bit overload, maybe the problem was the venue, ACC is a sports arena after all. If you like Pink Floyd this concert will get you happy. I would definetly recommend this concert.
Oh sure, we're all Pink Floyd fans. But how much of the Floyd was David Gilmour's contribution? Well, this show left no doubt as to his incredible talent and contributions to Pink Floyd's vast array of songs as well as his own growing catalogue of solo and collaborative efforts. David's string technique, which was thankfully zoomed in on the large audience screen, is impeccable. There truly is no-one else in the world who can start a note bent 2 1/2 steps high so accurately, bring it down a step, add vibrato and another string bent up 1/2 a step and then slide down to another bent note! Not a note was sharp or flat....truly amazing. The feeling evoked during this masterful show was mind-blowing to all. The sold-out ACC sat down, in awe through 3/4 of the show...not that we weren't moved....we didn't want to miss a note or obstruct the views of others.....it was as if we were all at church, listening to the most incredible sermon ever offered. There were goosebumps upon goosebumps, and moments where I was almost moved to tears. To sum up, David knows that Less is More...and the every note counts.....and wow, were we spoiled. A moment in this 48 year old's life that will be remembered until the end.
I went both nights to see David Gilmour at the Air Canada Center. Both nights were fantastic, but the 2nd night was truly amazing. I've been seeing shows for over 35 years, and in that time I've seen some amazing acts. Let's put it this way, it takes a LOT to top being front row for The Rolling Stones and KISS, but this didn't just raise the bar, it moved it all the way to The Dark Side Of The Moon. Gilmour is beyond a doubt a true master of the guitar, making it sound like no other can. The other musicians were all top notch, kudos to the sax player! It could only possibly have been topped if Rick Wright were still amongst us (may he Rest In Peace). Bottom line: if you have opportunity to get a ticket to see this tour, SPARE NO EXPENSE, get the BEST ticket you can get. I originally got row 21 seat 1 sec 109, but went on a month later and a miracle appeared... a 3rd row ticket! Zero hesitation, I scooped it up in a heartbeat! I was 3rd row center aisle for this show, there were a mere handfull of people with a better vantage point than I had, truly mind blowing.
The wife and I are so thankful their was some tickets still available, even thou they were side stage. It was truly a treat to see it live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
