Sleater-Kinney on Tour

Sleater-Kinney's The Center Won't Hold is the first new album from the celebrated band since their 2015 album, No Cities To Love, available August 16 on Mom + Pop. After years of legendary collaboration, rock'n'roll giants Carrie Brownstein (guitar/vocals) and Corin Tucker (guitar/vocals) sound bigger and bolder than ever. The new album was produced by Annie Clark (St. Vincent), and hailed by The FADER as "one of the most furious, dynamic records of their career." The New York Times called them "one of rock's most enduring and respected acts" and Rolling Stone gave the record 4 stars and raved, "one of America's greatest bands does battle with modern apathy on thrilling LP."

Sleater-Kinney in Concert

Sleater-Kinney set a new bar for punk's political insight and emotional impact. Now, at the height of their formidable powers, the feminist icons continue to challenge themselves, break all the rules and push boundaries. This new creative chapter in the acclaimed band's musical journey is poised to win over both longtime admirers and new fans alike.

Great show with art and lights and played some old favourites. The best!

    So great!

by Mojudd on 2019-11-24Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

Such a great show. Sleater-Kinney is still an awesome band. The songs sound so good live and the band...even with the new members is tight. If you have a chance to see this band live do it!

    High enery

    by D. S. on 2019-11-24Commodore Ballroom - Vancouver

I expected them to be good, but they shattered my expectations. They were awesome. Tight, hard energetic. I applaud their change of direction on the new album and it is very good, though it is not the style of band that I fell in love with. Live those songs fit right in. The power of The Center Won't Hold as an opener was epic. The sound of a highly skilled rock band in full flight is a beautiful thing.

    Solid

by Peejhey on 2019-11-11REBEL - Toronto

They may have been without their original awesome drummer, they may have both started a song in the wrong key, they may have played a song so wrong (tho I didn’t notice) that Carrie said “F**K it we’re playing it again!”... They were awesome! Loose but tight. Happy! And the extra players (one from St. Vincent’s band) filled things in nicely so the new material sounded great. Great show!

    AMAZING LIVE SHOW

    by C. H. on 2019-11-07REBEL - Toronto

They killed it! Amazing energy and stage presence. Rocked the whole time, and had great crowd interaction. One of the best live shows I've seen in while! Also the fans they attract make for a great crowd.

    The show was great, but...

by AD on 2019-11-06REBEL - Toronto

I purchased balcony tickets, only to be told when I arrived at the venue that the balcony was closed. There were small roped-off areas beside the stage for those who had purchased balcony tickets, but as I had bought them to have a higher vantage point (I’m short) it was disappointing. Soon someone was standing in front of me blocking my view as usual. Why would balcony tickets be sold if the balcony wasn’t going to be open?
