A nice way to start the Holidays...

by JoceD on 2010-12-29National Arts Centre - Ottawa

A witty and very theatrical presentation, this performance offered a touch of everything with remarkable talent. We're avid Broadway-goers, so the bar is set high when we attend live performances in Ottawa. I felt that the cast engaged the audience and the choir of angels was divine! Our entire family (14 to 58 years) enjoyed the evening...

    Nativity Language Not Family Friendly

by 4ofus on 2010-12-26National Arts Centre - Ottawa

There was language inappropriate for the families who attended the show. Something advertised as a family event should not include bad language, and inappropriate lewdness. There was some mocking of Christians which was not enjoyed.

    Nativity was more for kids

by Marketresident on 2010-12-21National Arts Centre - Ottawa

I was a bit disappointed. The play was geared more for children with goofy humor Instead of clever humor. The coyotes were the best part. The acting was a bit over done.

    Awesome, quirky Christmas pageant!

by Kitschy on 2010-12-21National Arts Centre - Ottawa

This show was gloriously, spectacularly amazing! We were dazzled by the quick wit and variety of tempos, characters and humour. Left us sometimes wondering to ourselves, Huh? what is this? a parody of a schlocky little christmas pageant? an indie christmas play? a medley of times and moods? Whatever it was, we laughed and were thoroughly entertained at this quirky rendition of a christms tradition. The caliber of the cast, costumes, and stage set was entirely professional and ready for off Broadway! Thank you so much for the show!!

    Nativity

by Shelagh on 2010-12-18National Arts Centre - Ottawa

This was an amusing little show. The coyotes were wonderful and the dialogue was quite funny at times. Probably not for children as it's too sophisticated for them.

    A total laugh riot

by PortiaQ on 2010-12-17NAC - Ottawa

We had such a wonderful night at the theatre. Laughed from start to finish, so much in fact that I was worried I was missing the next one! This is a theatrical smorgasborg of Christmas stories and a welcome new play at this time of year. The acting was fantastic, the writing very funny and the staging so inventive, it was like watching a surrealist painting come to life. I would love to go again!

    The coyotes steal the show!

by Eveline on 2010-12-11National Arts Centre - Ottawa

I was disappointed after attending the play Nativity. Although the acting was good, I expected more from a play performed at the National Arts Centre. The set and costumes were not visually appealing. The music and vocals were only fair. Although I found some of the lines amusing and the performance and roles played by the three coyotes interesting, even though I really tried, I could not get into the magic of the play.
