VanMorrison Great
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace - Las Vegas
Love Van Morrison,s music and it is a soulful and moving experience to attend his concerts. However my experience was affected a bit negatively due to there being a mix-up with my seat(apparently it had been broken and not replaced). After much confusion the Colosseum staff member gave me an upgraded seat.It would have been much less stressful for me if i had been notified of this when i checked in instead of being sent to section as if my original seat was there. Also there was a guy behind me who found it necessary to scream after each song. This is my fourth time attending a concert at the Colosseum and my other experiences have been excellent so i will focus on those. I hope Van Morrison returns next year as i plan to return.

Van slays - Caesar’s fails
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace - Las Vegas
We arrived 50 minutes early to the show and missed the first two songs! The chaos getting patrons into the venue was confusing seeing as they do it nightly. There was no organization- just total chaos and frustration. Staff was not receptive to criticism of their entrance routines but Van Morrison was wonderful!

Amazing music! Van didn’t disappoint! A little too many people up and down in their seats for drinks and bathroom... very distracting and annoying!

Good but disappointed
The Colosseum at Caesars Palace - Las Vegas
His singing was amazing but he didn’t speak to the audience once. Not even to say good night. He didn’t sing Crazy Live... :( my favourite song of his.

Past to Present
Greek Theatre-U.C. Berkeley - Berkeley
A thoroughly enjoyable musical repast of songs across the decades from beginning to the present in an iconic, intimate outdoor setting. Intricate and new arrangements of the original tunes played by a band of superb musicians and a back up singer providing the symphonic depth and complexity necessary to showcase ‘just a singer’ Van the Man’s lyrical, poetic brilliance. Waiting for the release of his newest creation evokes feelings anticipation similar to a child looking forward to a. visit from Santa.

Technically flawless, but disappointing
Sony Centre - Toronto
I've seen Van live before and knew he didn't interact with the crowd, but this time it was like he was trying to put down one takers in a studio as fast as possible. There was nothing spontaneous about the show. At one point I almost suspected that the whole thing was prerecorded and he was lip synching. I really felt ripped off. Sorry Van, I love you, but i'd much rather put on "It's Too Late to Stop Now" and relive when he actually enjoyed performing live.

Still Waiting for the Hits
Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto
My wife and I are both longtime fans of Van Morrison. Every time he came to town we agonized over whether to spend the $ to see him. We picked this night to tick it off the bucket list. We were prepared for minimal audience interaction (it was zero), but we fully expected/hoped to hear more of the hits that we've enjoyed over 30+ years. Sadly, the hits were limited to Gloria and Moondance. Dunno. Still a little dazed over the whole event.

Van Morrison
Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto
Great artist but so-so performance at Sony Centre on September 19 show. I was disappointed in the so-called encore. The song, Gloria, was sung but, unfortunately, Van the Man did not deliver. He walked off stage and the band went into solo mode. Come on Van, you should have come back and performed more of your songs. The concert was on the short side. This guy is an amazing artist with loads of talent. He did not deliver.Throughout the performance Van was not engaging. He has no stage presence. His career spans over 50 years. I guess I expected more from this icon!!!!!!!!!

Wow
Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto
While his voice is still amazing, he did not say one word until the end of the show when he said, "thanks" and (I think) "this is my band". He played for 1 hour, 40 minutes but there were a few songs that went on and on. He could have shortened them and played more of his "hits". All in all, for a concert that was on our bucket list, very disappointing.

Van Morrison was epic
Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto
I new we were hearing a Great singer. He was flawless.
With a catalog of songs that reaches back 50 years, Van Morrison always delivers a concert that’s impossible to predict for his many ticket buyers. The iconic Northern Ireland native has, of course, recorded classic albums like Moondance and Astral Weeks, and timeless singles like "Brown Eyed Girl," "Domino," and "Wild Night." But he's released well over 30 albums during the course of his career, building a repertoire that veers from Celtic music to folk to blues to covers of standards. His focus on any given night could switch on the dime as he follows his muse wherever it takes him. Fans fill seats to see Van Morrison on tour because the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer is a master of making his own whatever genre or song he tackles. His unmistakable voice is a reedy and expressive growl, and his delivery -- which is constantly evolving -- conjures elements of jazz, blues and gospel. His latest album, 2012's Born to Sing: No Plan B, marked his first batch of original songs in five years and was hailed by many critics as recalling his much-heralded recordings of the late '60s and early '70s. It peaked at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 chart.
