3 INCHES OF BLOOD IN CONCERT:
Canadian heavy metal rockers 3 Inches of Blood are bidding adieu to the stage once and for all with two final shows this November 7-8 at the Commodore Ballroom in their hometown of Vancouver. The band has featured a rotating lineup since forming in 1999, but their latest roster is the most intense and ferocious yet, whipping fans into a frenzy every time they take the stage to perform their blistering, bludgeoning brand of take-no-prisoners speed metal. Whether they’re egging fans on with cries of “show us what you’re made of” on “The Goatrider’s Horde” or inspiring serious thrashing with savage cuts from their 2012 album Long Live Heavy Metal, 3 Inches of Blood are sure to leave it all on the stage as they rock fans at their highly anticipated – and bittersweet – farewell shows.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
3 Inches of Blood formed in Vancouver in 1999 and quickly made a name for themselves with their debut EP Sect of the White Worm. They followed up in 2002 with their debut album Battlecry Under a Wintersun, which they supported on tour with beloved UK glam metal outfit The Darkness. The tour exposure earned them critical attention and a growing fanbase, leading to a deal with Roadrunner Records in 2004. They made their debut on the label that same year with sophomore album Advance and Vanquish, an underground success they supported with extensive touring. 3 Inches of Blood continued to record and tour amid several lineup changes in the latter half of the decade, releasing Fire Up in Blades in 2007 and Here Waits Thy Doom in 2009. Both albums charted on the Billboard 200, earning them more exposure and a growing mainstream fanbase. With the release of 2012’s Long Live Heavy Metal the band made their first appearance on the Canadian charts, marking a hometown victory that propelled their continued touring. After more than 15 years of electrifying metal mayhem, 3 Inches of Blood will blow fans' minds with one last epic hurrah at their farewell shows in Vancouver in late 2015.
Catchy heavy tunes that never disappoint great show
Amazing show, amazing songs had an awesome time Staff at danforth music hall were great
Not really into thrash metal but the band and crowd were so fun it was impossible not to have a good time.
3 Inches of Blood performed flawlessly at the Theatre Beanfield in Montreal. Each musician was locked in with one purpose in mind, to aurally devastate the fans with an onslaught of their classic songs from Destroy the Orcs, Wykydtron and Deadly Sinners for their 20th anniversary of their album Advance and Vanquish. If you have to see one metal band in 2024-25... make it 3 Inches of Blood because they are truly awakened from their 9 year hiatus to kick everyone's ass!
Très bon show en général. Pour le band principal il y avait un trop de base au balcon. Au plancher c’était mieux mais quand même un peu trop de base.
After 11 years, they came back ! What a memorable night that was. Can’t wait for the next show (please, wait 11 months this time, not years !)
Was all that I expected and more! Loved the music and seeing the moshing was awesome!! Would def go again
Thank you 3IoB for making a comeback. We needed this. The world needed this.
Hands down one of the best concerts I’ve seen in years. The fellas all sounded great, putting out the same energy they always have. Sound mix at the Commodore was excellent as well. My only gripe about the show was having to throw out a full pack of gum at the front door, cause it’s apparently not allowed in
Absolutely incredible! From the great group of people we met, to the bands stage presence and show. Everything was top tier. Now for a revival eh boys!
