About

5 Seconds of Summer is an Australian pop-rock band that have sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. The band launched in 2011 when Luke Hemmings, Michael Clifford, and Calum Hood began posting cover videos to YouTube; after accruing early viral attention and a budding following, they were joined by drummer Ashton Irwin, completing the lineup. The band released a self-titled debut album in 2014, and they’ve since released five more studio albums, including 2025’s Everyone’s a Star! Their fourth album, 2020’s CALM, earned the band their fourth consecutive No. 1 release in their home country, making them only the second Australian band in history to have their first four full-length studio albums debut at number one on the ARIA albums chart. They’ve anchored a dozen headlining tours and have maintained all four original members throughout their career. In 2026, 5SOS will embark on the EVERYONE’S A STAR! World Tour.

  • i've been to a better concert that 5sos

    by cassinator123 on 2015-07-28Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

5sos sure wasn't one of the best concerts i've been to. I thought that they didn't really interact with the crowd very much... it seemed like the opening act(hey Violet!) interacted with the crowd more than they did. It was like they were there to play music and not to talk to the crowd....I saw 5sos when they first came to Van. 2 years ago(opening act for 1D) and personally i would have to say that they interacted more back then... l

by MaggieE on 2015-07-28Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

5 SOS put in a great high energy show! Had a great time at soundcheck too. I would for sure go see them again!

  • I'm Speechless

by EmShouts on 2015-07-28Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

5 Seconds of Summer did not disappoint. They along with their opener had us up and dancing the entire time- we never sat down. We screamed, and sang, and laughed, and had an overall great time. They snagged the audience multiple times by asking us questions, having us sing Happy Birthday to a crew member, and having a girl come onstage and play Michael's guitar! The fans were so great! We made friends with everyone around us despite age differences. All in all I would totally go again if I have the chance. Definitely worth the 6 hour drive.

  • 5 seconds of summer best night of my life

    by Millie99 on 2015-07-28Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

The boys were fantastic, every single song was just awesome.

  • Loudest thing I've ever experienced

    by Janine94 on 2015-07-28Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Their energy and talent were undeniable. They played all their greatest hits as well as a few off their first EPs. They engaged the crowd and kept up entertained without a huge performance distracting everyone from the music. And I've never been to a concert this loud. Not only was the band insanely loud but the girls screaming for the encore reached a whole new level. My ears are still ringing three days later!

  • SUCH BABES

by wishingIcouldmeetluke on 2014-08-03Rogers Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

This band became my favourite when they opened for One Direction. They are great live, and very entertaining. It really is amazing how talented they are, I would recommend them to anyone. The set list was energetic and always fun! The boys have great personalities and are super cute and once again, talented. If you're thinking abut getting tickets, get them. Guaranteed you'll have a blast.

  • 5sos was great!

    by erica520 on 2014-04-22Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

5SOS was great, but the venue wasn't good for this kind of show. Most of the audience was like 14 and crying because they were being pushed around (which happens at general admission shows). The venue was very accommodating though, handing out water throughout the show. The band was great! They are great live, and very entertaining!

  • Great show, 5sos sounded amazing

by MVance on 2014-04-22Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

I went to see 5 Seconds Of Summer at the Sound Academy on April 19th 2014 and I just have to say I was a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the band sounded amazing and I was very impressed with the sound quality at the show. However, I have been to the Sound Academy many many times before for sold out shows such as of mice and men, bring me the horizon, fall out boy and panic at the disco and I never had any problems with the crowd at those. There was ways a fairly good section in the back that had much more space to chill out and enjoy the music if you didn't want to be in the thick of the crowd. However at 5 Seconds Of Summer it was apparent that this show was WAY oversold. There were so many people crammed into that building you couldn't move. The back that was usually empty was absolutely jammed. I have never seen it that full before and I can only assume that was a hazard because with that amount of people I saw so many kids that couldn't handle it. The show was fine, I was just a bit upset that it was oversold, and that was apparent. Please stop selling more tickets for shows at this venue than the capacity of what it can hold

  • Crazy event

    by 5sosgirly on 2014-04-22Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 3 out of 5

Overall the band was amazing. Their set went by so fast but that may be because I was so into it. Though it was great, it was overcrowded. There were too many people and it was hard to see even though I was near the front of the second section. I don't know why they added a barrier in the middle because they made it even more crowded and less people could see because there was so little space

  • would give 10+ stars if I could!

by Britttt on 2014-04-22Sound Academy - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

5SOS are absolutely incredible, they put on the most energetic shows and always keep the crowd so hyped up and involved. They sound pretty much the exact same live as they do on recordings, maybe even better! They are my favourite band and have been for two and a half years now, and I DEFINITELY would recommend that you go and see them live because you will not regret it at all. 5 Seconds Of Summer are beyond amazing and I would've paid way more for my tickets than I did. I love them so much and they are the best band I have seen live! SUPPORT AND GET BEHIND THEM :-)

  • by IRjilly on 2014-02-20Air Canada Centre - TorontoRating: 5 out of 5

I saw 5sos when they opened for One Direction and they're performance amazed me. I've only heard/seen one of their music videos prior to the show and they already sounded good to me, but hearing the rest of their songs live made me love them! They had great energy on stage and they can really sing so that was great. I also got the chance to meet and hang out with them for a bit after the show and they are super chill and down to earth. Can't wait to see them in concert (and hopefully meet them) again :)
