About

In the past decade, 50 Cent has established himself at one of the world’s highest selling rappers. Born Curtis Jackson III, from the South Jamaica neighborhood of Queens, New York, he learned how to rap under Run DMC’s DJ Jam Master Jay in the late 1990s. After putting out the underground single How to Rob in 1999, he survived being shot nine times in 2000. He kept rapping and was discovered by Eminem in 2002 on the strength of his Guess Who’s Back? mixtape, signing to Eminem’s Shady Records and Dr. Dre’s Aftermath label later that year. He also released the mixtape No Mercy, No Fear that featured the track Wanksta, and was later used on Eminem’s 8 Mile soundtrack. 50’s debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin’ was released in 2003 on Interscope Records and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200, selling 872,000 copies in the first four days, and moving an astonishing 12 million copies worldwide. The album has a funky bounce of dark synth and drum kicks, and its lead single In da Club booms with horn bursts, propulsive organ, handclaps, and his signature laid-back and collected flow, captivating ticket buyers with its groove. In 2003, he also founded G-Unit Records, home to several successful rappers including, Lloyd Banks, Tony Yayo, and Young Buck. His subsequent albums, 2005’s The Massacre and 2007’s Curtis, were also commercial smashes, spawning sold-out concert tours around the world. Billboard magazine lauds him the number one rap artist of the 2000s, and his new album Street King Immortal is due out in 2014.

    High Energy

by B Chandler on 2023-09-25Budweiser Stage - Toronto

50 Cent Final Lap Tour concert in Toronto was an excellent time! High energy the whole time with the opening acts and of course 50 himself. Played all the biggest hits and some deep cuts. Loved the pyro and light show as well.. one of the best hip hop shows I’ve seen yet!!!

    Horrible

by Gmoney on 2023-09-25Budweiser Stage - Toronto

I paid good money for my tickets and to be able to view the concert. Numerous people were not sitting in their seats and standing in the walk way of the 100 section. This blocking my view and making it difficult to go to the washrooms or purchase drinks. Security was informed of this but did nothing to resolve the matter. What the point of paying for expensive tickets. Or thsn it being a cash grab

by Laura S on 2023-09-25Budweiser Stage - Toronto

50 Cent and Busta absolutely killed it! The energy in the room was incredible. My partner and I are still on a high 4 days later. Nothing like hearing In da club live.

More usher and security staff needed at Budweiser Stage

by CeeCent on 2023-09-25Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The concert, 50 Cent was amazing. I went to both shows. I paid for tickets in the 200 level with my sister. There was not enough staff or the staff didn’t really care because towards the last 45 minutes of the show people began pushing up to the front and there’s people actually standing behind us in our seats and no staff helped us, what’s the point of paying for a premium ticket when people from the lawn and further back push in and then literally stand directly behind you for the remainder of the show it was disgusting and I don’t understand how we pay for premium tickets but they can’t have either a security guard there or usher staff to stop this happening. My sister was getting groped and danced on by random men who were just standing behind and beside our seats. It’s funny because they make a note about Covid policies yet they allow people to come in and swarm an area Budweiser stage get your stuff together.

The show was on time first of all, sound was great and all the lighting and pyro was on point. Jeremih, Busta & Spliff, 50, Yayo and Uncle Murda all put on an amazing show from start to finish.

    Nostalgic experience with excellent energy

by Reevmrap on 2023-09-25Budweiser Stage - Toronto

We were only able to take in 50's performance but were thoroughly impressed by his energy and delivery alongside the production value his concert has, and the transitions/breaks and entertainment in between 50's sets/wardrobe changes. We were also thoroughly impressed with how packed the Budweiser Stage was and how they've made it into a village with all of the food and drink vendors!

    50 Cent was amazing

by Markyg T on 2023-09-25Budweiser Stage - Toronto

The 50 cent show was unbelievable. Covered every song and was an unreal performance. Don't bother going to see Busta open the show. He was terrible. He kept talking about how he only had 40 minutes and then would just talk and sing about half a song and then talk more. He was a huge disappointment and someone I really wanted to see. If he'd just shut and sing he'd be much better
