About

Extreme alt-rock outfit AFI, short for A Fire Inside, continue to keep their punk rock spirit alive after more than two decades together. The four-piece California band, impressively composed of the same lineup since 1998, has revitalized hardcore punk ever since their 1991 beginning, though the crew didn’t see mainstream success until their 2003 platinum-selling “Sing the Sorrow.”

Since that time, AFI has satiated ticket holders at amped up concerts nationwide, either on their own headlining runs or as part of the Vans Warped Tour on several occasions.

After a four-year recording hiatus, AFI unveiled its ninth studio set, “Burials,” in October 2013. The collection, produced by Gil Norton (Foo Fighters, Jimmy Eat World), peaked at No. 9 on The Billboard 200. Some tracks on the Republic Records release (“17 Crimes” and “I Hope You Suffer” for example) lean more toward hard rock than horror punk or goth-punk, both labels AFI’s received with past work.

OMG! It was absolutely amazing! I was literally skipping down the sidewalk after the show because I was on such a natural high. I had forgotten how much I love them. My only complaint would be that I wish they played longer shows, but otherwise it was perfect. Didn't want the night to end. Love them! Hope they come back to Toronto real soon, I miss them already!

Best afi concert I've been to, and I've seen them many times. Love how they played a little from almost every album.

I've seen this band tones of times and they never fail to amaze me. I have a full sleeve of their album art so to be able to see them live was a true dream come true. Daveys voice is always flawless. He sounds the same live as on record. If you have a chance to see this band. Do it. You will not be disappointed.

Great music from AFI. The only thing that sucked was the opening band, some never herd before band got to open up for AFI and and played for way too long. But it was worth it to see and here AFI live

Great show, thought it was too short though. I think they were on for maybe an hour? Opening act could of been better

    AFI

Awesome best ever. Would def go again. They chose good songs to play. I was disappointed that there were not many true AFI fans. Only few people actually know all the songs. I was like the only 1 there singing on the arrow.
