Great show for any fan of RENT

by Laura311 on 2018-03-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

What a great evening with new songs, classic covers, and best of all, RENT songs with two of the show's stars. Their lasting friendship truly showed as the two sang together again. A great venue in a beautiful old theatre, we didn't want the show to end!

Anthony and Adam delivered an awesome evening of song. The Rent tunes were the highlight for me. Utterly captivating!

    Incredibly disappointing

by BmanToronto on 2018-03-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Sadly, this was not a good show, and one of the strangest events I have attended. Act 1 was Adam Pascal solo, with a keyboard player. He sang pop / rock songs for 45 minutes and Anthony Rapp joined him for one. He is very talented but I really don't need to hear Adam Pascal cover The Police. It was also rather amateurish, and at one point he commented, "I don't have time to rehearse, I'm on tour with "Something Rotten." Act 2 (after a 25 minute interval!!) was Anthony doing a similar solo set, but more of what was expected, with songs from "If/Then" and "Hedwig", but still no collaboration. At the very end, they came together and dueted on songs from "Rent," the only time the concert met my expectations. A very strange night, and had I known I definitely would not have attended.

Rent' Anthony Rapp and Adam Pascal Live

by ebsmith on 2018-03-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Sound quality was poor, but it seeing Anthony and Adam back together was great. Their voices are still going strong. I wish that they had performed more songs from musicals they have both been in. It would have been nice to hear Anthony sing "Happiness" from You're a Good Man Charlie Brown or Adam to perform a song from "Something Rotten". Loved hearing all songs from Rent, because there is no day but today!
