Not enough singing, many songs had short clips. In the jubilee in Calgary the sound was terrible, and at one time cut out and we had to wait while they fixed it. Real downer on the build up to the break.
A medley of songs that took me down memory lane. Mixing a blend of American African and Caucasian folks.
This was an amazing show! Most people unless they know Carole Kings musical contribution are surprised by the number of her accomplishments. Singers songwriters are some of the most talented people on the planet and this production of beautiful captures Carole King‘s personal and professional life through music in a very entertaining and engaging performance. A must see!

Two plus hours of solid entertainment and I still didn’t want it to end . Carole’s incredible musical talent was well reflected in this musical. A must see !

I really enjoyed Beautiful - the Carole King Musical.. It's a honeyed version of her earlier life but does touch on the challenges she had in her first marriage, which comes through in her songwriting. And WOW, the combined number of hit songs that Carole King and Gerry Goffin, and the pair of Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil wrote was quite a surprise. The performers, orchestra, sets, sound and lighting were wonderful, as has been typical of Broadway Across Canada (America) productions. The classy Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium and excellent staff also deserve mention.. If you know who Carole King is, you'll love the show. Go see it and bring along anyone who just loves music!
Enjoyed the musical especially the songs. Brought back lots of memories. My one complaint was the volume. It didn't have to be so loud.
