About

Ben Platt is an Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award-winning actor, singer, songwriter and producer. The Los Angeles native began acting at an early age and earned several stage credits before his breakout film role in the 2012 musical comedy Pitch Perfect. After starring in the 2014 Broadway run of The Book of Mormon, Platt took the lead role in Dear Evan Hansen, a high school-set musical drama that debuted on Broadway in 2016. The production collected six Tonys, including Platt for Best Leading Actor in a Musical, and he was later awarded a Grammy and Daytime Emmy as a member of the cast. Meanwhile, the Hansen and Hamilton mash-up charity single “Found/Tonight” with Lin-Manuel Miranda became Platt’s first Billboard Hot 100 single in 2018. Ben Platt’s debut solo album Sing to Me Instead arrived in 2019, followed by his second full-length Reverie in 2021. Platt earned his second leading actor Tony nomination for the 2023 Broadway revival of Parade. In 2024, he is set to release his third album, Honeymind.

    Ben was sensational.

by Kay on 2022-09-29Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

My two concerns were to do by with the merchandise fiasco. Both are venue problemsThe lines were long and badly managed (there simply were not enough staff members to direct people), and the poor fellows manning the booth were hampered by crappy Wifi. I’m certain the performers lost out on thousands in revenue due to these issues

    Just ok

by HN on 2022-09-28Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

It was just ok. I didn’t know as many of the songs as I thought I would’ve. I for sure thought he would’ve done some stuff from dear Evan Hansen, but he didn’t so that was kind of disappointing.

    Few glitches

by Kiwi on 2022-09-28Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

In general, the concert was GREAT. My Daughter absolutely loved it. Few small problems, the bass was WAY too high, every time the bass player played, it drowned out Bens singing, and at times, completely distorted his music. Bass need to be lowered BIGTIME. and only having 1 single spot for merchandise was a farce. the line was still there at the end of the concert, people actually missed the concert to get a tshirt.

    Didn’t want it to end

by Gennydots on 2022-09-28Coca-Cola Coliseum - Toronto

I consider myself a huge fan of Ben and so it felt like a bucket list achievement to have seen him live in concert. The only thing is that I wish he had done an encore…because no one is going to complain about more Ben!
